Entire game, Yale's goalie was on it. 37 shots on goal for the Big Red, plus 3 shootout attempts. Only one Red goal. Just one of those days.

Bummer

But they are doing so well!

Yale wins in shootout.

It goes down as a tie.  In ECAC WIH, shootouts have no bearing on standings, each team gets 1.5 points.

Good to know, thanks for the info :)

I guess that those aren't Roman numerals since Cornell didn't win 30-15. :-P

Hahah! No, I wanted checks and crosses but eLynah doesn't let me post, like, any characters that aren't English letters...

Random observation: Harvard went 1-20-1 in the ECAC (2-24-2 overall), narrowly avoiding duplicating the 0-22 ECAC season RPI had a few years back. Last win for Harvard was Nov. 1. It's not going to happen, but I wouldn't complain if they upset Quinnipiac and wound up at Lynah for the quarters.

tons of shots but no goals on a weekend the men scored 11? did the men feed the women the pie from thinner and transfer the curse?

Rory Guilday is listed at No. 8 in THN's PWHL draft rankings for February. Lily Delianedis is the only other Cornell player mentioned -- No. 68, "has sleeper potential."

Quote from: The Hockey News8. Rory Guilday, D, 2002, Cornell / USA - Big and mobile for her size, Guilday is a defender who will help any team in this league, likely on a second pairing. One downside to her game is there isn't a ton of offensive upside, but teams already have high risk, high reward blueliners. At 5-foot-11, her size is a major benefit.

HAHAHAH. The women were generating a lot of high-danger chances though...

Cornell gets Union in the quarterfinals -- 6 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday and, if necessary, 3 p.m. Sunday. Should be a pretty tough matchup, given how the regular-season series went, but hopefully that means the team will be on top of its game.

We host the ECAC semis and final if we win the union series, right?

Given we won the ECAC (iirc), yes, that would track.
