The Traveling Faithful came through loud and clear both nights, in particular that cheer.  ::cheer::

Big Dingus

Damn... tournament odds looking grim

That's why primates do social grooming.

Quote from: DafatoneIf Schafer does get suspended for banging a stick against the boards, that could be a problem next week.
I definitely don't condone doing that, but it seems like it would be possible that banging a stick would be necessary to get the refs attention after a game winner in OT where the other team and the crowd are going wild (though I think it's doubtful that they would have left without checking in with him). The announcers seemed adamant that it should be a suspension but they were wrong about a lot of things and that doesn't seem so egregious that he would get a multi game suspension at this point in the year.

I've seen him do it at Lynah a couple of other times this season when he was hot about something and couldn't get the refs' attention (and I've seen opposing coaches do it too with no apparent consequences.) Definitely just another in a long list of nothing burgers that the SLU drunk uncle announcing crew wanted to make a stink about.

Oh totally. I was being sarcastic and probably should've indicated that.

One of the two clowns seemed eager to suspend our shootout participants for "slowing down too much."

technically the game was over. You going suspend a coach from trying to get the refs attention after a game.  they were likely yelling and whistling as well. Though I would think the first thing the refs should do on most any goal is check with the teams to make sure there is nothing to review.

Anyone have a clip of the offside zone entry? They didn't review it long, so it must have been pretty clear.

ugarte

St. Lawrence highlights on YouTube are only SLU highlights (and Shane highlights on SLU scoring chances). By that I mean, neither Cornell goal and three shootout goals by SLU in a shootout that they lost. At least the Cornell recap had the Psenicka and Seger goals.

Here is my attempt at a screenshot from the offside.

St. Lawrence #14 looks to be offside by a foot or so.  In real time, it was impossible to tell.  I'm sure with the replay frame-by-frame it was more obvious.

I watched the replay on demand and your screen shot shows it as I saw it—-#14 offside by a good foot

The bozo announcers must also work for SLU's Sports Information office. From their game story: "The Big Red would score with 1:31 left in the third, then after some questionable non-calls would find the equalizer with 6.8 seconds left in regulation."

Quote from: ugartewhat a good feeling to come back to elynah to see that we didn't lose after having to turn it off (as opposed to turning it off in anger) down 2-0. obvs annoying that it hurts us in the pairwise but it's always fun to watch your guys come back for the tie than to blow a lead. we all contain multitudes.
This.  I'm going to file this game away, so the next time I feel myself thinking, "Why does this shit always happen to us?" I can remember that one time we happened that shit to someone else.
Let's Go RED!
