Very difficult to play your very best lacrosse across multiple weeks, which Michigan has been doing. Like our chances.

If she's a typical Michigander she only supports teams that are favorites.

upprdeck

cornell can not afford to be awful at the X again the rest of the way.  Last week was bad FO, bad D, and no big plays from the goalie.. Thats a bad combo cme playoff time.

I continue to worry about the defense. I know they've kept teams under and around 10 all year, but all year we've seen so many basic mistakes that it's been frustrating. We don't help, esp. the shorties, and our slides and rotations are often slow and late. This really caught up with us in the Yale game. I mean, really caught up with us. Going to a zone felt a little like panic. Instead, maybe we should work on solid, communicating, fundamental lacrosse. We've been really good at times, and so I have hopes we can play better. But we're also capable of giving up tons of easy scores. I think we have to assume that everyone except Gavin Adler and maybe Jack Follows will be beat with a one-on-one. Let's get some help and force a pass at least, not a dodge and a score.

Also, on offense, we looked great when Mikey Long ran two (probably set) plays from the wing in the second quarter. Wow, if we could do that on each possession, we could do some damage.

upprdeck

Yale was an issue losing 60-70% of the draws and then allowing 4-5 goals off of that and then chasing to try and make up the big gap..

C.J. Kirst is a Tewaaraton finalist:

But not Gavin Adler, who should have been; all five finalists play attack.

Yeah. It's time they stop pretending the Tewaarton is for the best player in college lacrosse. It's for the best offensive player. And, depending on the style of play currently in vogue, even just the best player at attack (as in this year).

I'm looking forward to watching the Georgetown-Yale game. It should be a good one. I saw Dordevic play against Providence. He's as good as advertised.
