Fortunately, one can say the same thing about the top 4 teams. They're all good enough to win the whole shebang. So a team that plays up to its ability and has a bit of luck has a great chance of winning.
Unlike last year, where a dominant Maryland team was the overwhelming favorite, multiple teams have a chance to win the title if they peak at the right time.

Though, last year it seemed we had a shot against anyone so long as we avoided Maryland (and we did, until the finals). This year, it seems the best 4 or 5 teams are really strong and probably better than us. Now the hope is we get to avoid them until the final four.

I don't think other teams are better than us. We have strengths at all the key positions, and, as dbilmes says, when we peak or play our best, we can beat anyone. We know who we are now. When we play team offense and team defense, we are really good.

I guess we find out of the D is good or just played lesser offenses.

Game is on ESPN News for now, not ESPN U as scheduled

Cornell now 8th in RPI, .0008 ahead of PSU.  PSU has head-to-head and three top ten wins vs. Cornell's one.  Time to set GPS to Happy Valley?

I would love for this team to see Tambroni again.

Maybe we get up to 7 in RPI if Yale loses to Princeton tomorrow. You'd think that would go a long way towards getting us a first round home game.

upprdeck

yale being seeded 7-8 while cornell is traveling is hard to take after a nice yr..

CU77

Three games left.

I assume Duke > Merrimack.

Then the top-11 RPI are fixed, with only the order of 7-8-9 still to be decided by the other 2 games.

Amazingly, only one of these 11 definitely gets an AQ!

1. Duke
2. Notre Dame
3. Virginia
4. Johns Hopkins
5. Georgetown AQ
6. Maryland
...
10. Denver
11. Penn

Princeton > Yale:

7. Penn State
8. Cornell
9. Yale

Yale > Princeton, Army > Loyola

7. Yale AQ
8. Cornell
9. Penn State

Yale > Princeton, Loyola > Army

7. Yale AQ
8. Penn State
9. Cornell

Cornell has a shot at the #8 seed if Yale loses. I think PSU gets a seed no matter what. Yale likley gets the seed if they win.

Great analysis!  Much appreciated.

9:00 pm selection show? That's kind of late for people of a certain age.

CU77

Princeton rolling over Yale, 9-2 early in Q2.

Wow. Maybe Yale makes a game of it, but it's hard for teams to gear up again after a big, emotional win.
