Interesting characteristic of the regular forwards who sat tonight: they all have among the fewest blocked shots for the year.

someone else will remember who this was but there was a player when I was at Cornell who had no goals his entire career. Senior year, he lined up an empty-netter and a teammate vultured it by redirecting a shot that was already on target. Burke?

I remember when Mark McCutcheon couldn't buy a goal his 1st two years, then turned into one of our top goal scorers his junior and senior years.

One thing that was intrresting to hear was the Application for getting Andreev an extra yr

osorojo

This team has certainly cured Cornell Hockey Fans of overinflated expectations.

Did Andreev participate in the post-game senior celebration?
.

upprdeck

I remember a game, possibly a senior night, but certainly very late in a season where we were handily beating someone, and they sent a senior with no goals out for about 4 shifts in a row at the end of the third period.  Everyone was doing everything they could to set him up.  After about the third shift, he skated over to the bench, absolutely gassed, but nobody would let him on the bench - all the players were just waving him back into the ice.

In the movie version, he scored on that 4th shift.  Alas....

When I hear "Cornell player with no goals in his career", the name that comes to mind is Christian Felli.

That sounds about right - I'm certainly old enough!  The last two home games that year were a 3-1 win and a 4-2 loss,  neither of which fit my memory of a relatively meaningless situation in a relatively decided game.  My memory has been known to be less than 100% reliable, however!

I graduated  in 1978 and have no recollection of Jeff Roche. That was a high-scoring era of college hockey, so to score that few goals in that many games back then would have been pretty tough to do.

Based on his stats he seems Dufresnish.

Has a date with Facetimer.
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."
