I think of pps as as good as possession.  If a lane doesn't open, that sucks, but if you hold and move the puck you are setting yourself up to exploit.

I did keep screaming to use Berard more.  Dude is so lethal he can probably shoot it *through* a defender.

Against good teams they are patient and grind and take shots and crash the net. Against bad teams they try to stickhandle through traffic and it just doesn't work. They can't generate offense against bad teams because (without Andreev and Kovich, especially) they are trying to outplay opponents that they are better than but not enough better than that the edge is enough to win on skill alone. More shots, more bodies in front to clean them up. Make Brown work by taking adequate shots not perfect ones.
