And now Shane actually is in net. These two games have been something else.

No longer!  It's now Ian Shane.

Not anymore.  Shane makes his debut after McDonald surrenders 3 goals on 10 shots in 18:48.

As good a time as any to see what he's got.

Unless Shane gets hot & takes over, I think we now have a goaltending problem.

Howe looked great until he got hurt and he's only a freshman. I feel good about him, generally speaking.

I don't know if I feel good about him this season.

The star goalie and most of the offensive talent defected when the season got cancelled, so can't say this is especially surprising.

We definitely have a goalie controversy!

We have Remington Keoppel coming in next year so hopefully between him, Howe, and Shane we will find out next anchor.  And if not, whatever systemic advantages have led great goaltenders to Cornell probably haven't stopped.

Yup. This is, to the extent that such a thing exists in college, a rebuilding year. Team shows flashes of talent but tends to get pushed around and gassed late.

The shame of it is that if the Ivy League had gotten around to declaring players could have an extra year earlier and Galadja stayed, he's probably good enough to make this a very strong team, even with the inconsistencies.

The ASU PBP really reminds me of Greg from Succession.
