Quote from: TrotskyThank you as always Jim.

You're welcome, it's actually fun to see how different sites report the same things. Makes me appreciate Brandon every week.

I'm sure it's been discussed here and I've just missed it, but why is St. Lawrence playing in some DIII school's barn?

They're renovating their own barn, and they're going to finish behind schedule.

"Cornell isn't an organization.  It's a loose affiliation of independent fiefdoms united by a common hockey team."

Thinking they should serve Fosters in Roos Ice House.

Quote from: RichHIt's a nice time to revisit one of my favorite TBRW pages.

Looking at that page, since 1985, and with the exception of 2002, every time we've taken four points on the north country trip we've also won the ECAC championship.

And in 02 we were one clear away.

More than twice the crowd size of the Dartmouth/Princeton game at Yankee Stadium.
When Section D was the place to be

The Rancor

pretty cool!  I had not heard of this. I wonder if the game at Met Life was, ahem, quid pro quo for using Cortland as the training facility? (sorry/not sorry)

No, not really.

From the IJ the week before the game. Cortaca Jug 2019: How athletic directors collaborated for a matchup in MetLife Stadium.

Best quote to quickly answer the question.

"How it started

Urtz (SUNY AD) admits much of the heavy lifting on this project was done on Ithaca's side, calling himself a passenger in a car driven by Bombers.

Whispers of Ithaca and Cortland playing downstate, perhaps at Yankee Stadium, had circulated but Bassett (IC AD) said things didn't become serious until she received a proposal from Marc Hudak in June of 2018. Hudac, a 1990 IC graduate, played football for the Bombers and is president of the New York City Chapter of the National Football Foundation.

Hudak connected with leadership at MetLife Stadium and things started to take shape."

Read the article for more, it's fun reading.

Not exactly news from last weekend, but didn't merit a new thread.  Nice article about Barron from the CBC

Quote from: Morgan BarronI've never really played with or against Justin, but turning pro is the ultimate goal for both of us, so I think we're both on a pretty good track.

Well, imagine the two of you playing together next year defending a national championship. Working to make it two in a row could be very special
