3000, because there were 1000 extra Providence fans the second day.

Fargo 4220/4248
Providence 7180/5231 (Did 2000 Northeastern fans not come back?)
Allentown 3763/3561

Is the attendance in Allentown bad enough that the NCAA should regret not putting Cornell there?

Considering that next year's regional won't be there, I don't think they'll give it a second thought.

Could have put tOSU there with only a 1 value seed difference throwing ASU to Fargo.  Notre Dame switch was possible too.

I was thinking they could have swapped the 2/3 games Cornell/Northeastern and Quinnipiac/Arizona State

If you can get by the limited free article pay wall you can read what is essentially a footnote that the TU Center plans to bid for regional hockey.

QuoteThe arena also will submit bids for all Division I basketball events, regional hockey and volleyball.

I sure wish they would announce where they will be for next year.

Adam, do you know when they will make their decision?

I seem to remember reading Allentown was only a two-year deal.

And you have to imagine the PPL Center is not thrilled with losing two potential weekend home games.  The Phantoms sell out on the weekends.

I'd love it if they stopped putting regionals in the Dakotas and had them someplace more civilized (and easier to get to).  Might I suggest Colorado Springs?

I'd hit it.  Short of parts of Utah and Arizona the most beautiful place I've ever been.

Denver would be more practical from a transportation perspective, though.  Although I suppose you still need to charter a bus to get the team to and from the arena.

Supposedly it will be announced before the FF - or maybe at the FF. My understanding is, there's not too many places on the list.

Yes Jeff - 2-year deal. But now it's time for new deals.

I've also heard there's a Colorado location in the mix - though neither Denver or Colorado Springs.

Which was met by universal raspberries on USCHO.  I'd never heard of it.  It aint Durango, unfortunately.

Now that there is a program at ASU Phoenix should get into the mix he said with no ulterior motive.

Four?

Edit:  I'm sorry, I assume on rereading this that you mean there aren't too many on the list of potentials for the four spots.

That's the problem with complaining about Allentown. You can only have a Regional in a place that applies.
