Never.

They have 7.  In the record (10) setting season, as of 1/26/05 they had... 3.

Either you are wrong, or Johnny 5 was right. The announcers (on ESPN3) tonight said we have 5 shutouts for the season.
6 now for Galajda, 1 for Stewart

And +1 for Johnny 5 pointing out we can't get no respect.

And oh yeah! USCHO front page says, "Cornell and Minnesota were both able to hold on on Friday night while Ohio State charged to a 4-0 win over Michigan." So tOSU beating traditional rival Michigan 4-0 makes OSU "big winners," but Cornell beating traditional rival Harvard 3-0 is holding on? I admit the number 6 team beating the 15 team is more impressive than the number 2 team beating the number 21 team (in terms of pairwise after tonight's games -- I used pairwise because Harvard wasn't included in the polls and because it's used for the NCAA's; after tonight's games because I don't have access to the earlier numbers. But Michigan out-shot tOSU 32-20 (compared to Harvard out-shooting us 35-28). But how is winning by a score of 3-0 "holding on"?

+1 more or Johnny 5.

Quote from: TrotskyIn the 5 minutes I watched (after I figured out it was on ESPN2) there was no difference in quality of play between ND-Minny and Cornell-Harvard.  Not tempo, beauty, skill, creativity of neither passing nor playmaking were any different.

Really?  Must be something about watching on TV vs in person.  Minny-ND OT on TV looked far quicker and more skilled that the CU-HVD game in person.
i'm with you. i thought both of those teams looked very fast and skilled passing. it was also strange watching a game on an olympic sheet. encourages really wide open play and stretch passes. i'm not saying we can't hang with them - we probably roll deeper without the same top end skill - but there was some serious speed and stickhandling out there.

i will say that for as good as they looked offensively, they both looked shaky on defense. the goalies were both fantastic though.

And before it sounds like i'm running down the team, i loved all three of angello's goals. toe drag, quick turnaround, nice little touch shot from the wall at center ice (that he was patient enough to cross the red line for) into the empty net.

Yes, lots of dancing bananas.  ::banana::::banana::::banana::::banana::::banana::::banana::

With all the horrible news of the past few weeks, it is reassuring that Harvard still Sucks. I was happy to get up today and don my red and Cam Abbot Jersey.

I've been mainly listening to the games this season and wow, what a special group.

Minneapolis aint that far from Florida.  I'm just sayin'.

Johnny 5

Just for the record, when Angello scored his third goal I tossed my Cornell hockey hat on the couch. I almost went outside and threw it on the ice in the driveway; almost.

That's one reason why I post the current pairwise every Monday.

A fewmore quotes.

QuoteIt was not a masterpiece, Cornell head coach Mike Schafer said, but his Big Red plowed through following a light week of practice as the team battled sickness.

Maybe that explains why they had so many passes, and otherplays, where they just couldn't quite make it work. If so, it speaks well for later on, but maybe not tonight. We may need to "gut it out" again.

Quote"I'm seeing the puck well," said Galajda, whose 13 wins are tops in the nation among first-year goaltenders. "There were a couple of plays out there that I maybe got a little lucky on tonight, but the puck seems to be bouncing our way right now and we hope to keep it rolling tomorrow night (at Dartmouth)."

Hopefully that "puck luck" keeps going our way.
