Man, this would be a lot easier to enjoy if it was any other team.

Think 6-28-1964 and April 1971.

Probably the second-worst trade a Boston team, or perhaps any team, has ever made.

Riley with a PPG in tonight's 3-0 Boston win to get him to 39 points on the year. That's good enough to be Boston's sixth leading scorer at the moment.

In a weird turn of events, Riley Nash's 15th goal (and 40th point) tonight came courtesy of an assist from Ryan Donato, who was making his NHL debut (and also scored earlier in the game). Unfortunately, Riley lost coverage of his man on a Columbus line change in OT, leading to Cam Atkinson scoring the game-winner for the Jackets.

Justin Krueger scored his first goal of the playoffs in SCBern's 5-2 series-clinching win over Genève-Servette HC.  SCB, the #1 seed and two-time defending champions of the National League of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation, go on to a semifinal series against #7 ZSC (Zurich) Lions, who upset #2 EV Zug in their quarterfinal series.

So no Donato to worry about next year. Other than the father.

Harvard's got a forward recruit coming in, Oliver Wahlstrom, who's projected to go 7th or 8th overall in this year's draft. Assuming he doesn't sign his NHL contract, I'm sure he'll be a handful to deal with.

There were some rumblings on the USCHO forums recently that he might be decommitting, possibly due to academic issues. But that was just speculation AFAIK.

He's able to do real magic when he has 15 feet of open ice.  If only there was some way of, say, checking that.
