Agree, I can't believe that anyone who watched this weekends games would still be saying that our style of play hasn't changed over the years. Heavens, we went 8 minutes at the start of the game before we had our first stoppage for a face-off. It was constant up and down skating. I was tired just watching:-Dand the late arriving fans were piling up, waiting to get to their seats.

Certainly this year are change in playing style has been most noticeable, as we're really pushing the pace and the defense is consistently joining the rush. Where we are a bit lacking is in the high-end stick skills that the top blue chippers possess.  Anyone who says we haven't changed our game isn't paying attention.

As for Limoges, it's unfortunate as he looked like he would've been an excellent addition. I think we still have quality forwards coming in - I think Betts, Mullin, Motley, Regush, and Locke are scheduled for next year, and they've all been productive.

Honestly, I think there are times we are pushing the pace of play TOO much.  I care more about winning than playing exciting hockey, and the idea that high-offense hockey will solve all our issues strikes me as silly.

That's not to say we don't want to score.  Scoring is nice.

No it's not. We get a new one every couple of years. I guess you don't remember "Facetimer"?
My favorite will always be Big Doug Francis.  :)

Quote from: RatushnyFanPenn State is just crushing it in terms of grabbing AYHL (mostly NY/NJ/CT) talent.  Sternschein, Paquette, Crespo, Dowd, Gratton, Goldowski, Agriogianis and Barratt all grew up playing for AYHL teams.  Barratt is freakishly good, he's one to watch.  Agriogianis is the hardest working youth hockey player I've ever seen.  I've seen all of them play except Crespo.
That's amazing.  How?  Are you a scout?  A youth coach?

Hooking

No doubt Cornell's hockey game has changed. College and professional hockey have changed over the years: more skating and less grabbing. Now, if the excuses would change . . .

I have been Mullin this over. All Betts are off for this new class but I think that this Motley crew is a Locke to perform well. I don't want to Regush, but I think that they will great.

Yeah Al that would have worked also. Just tired of all the negativity. Most of us come here to talk about our beloved Big Red win or lose. As I get older,  the young men are young enough to be my own kids. This make one realize it's just a game and they are just kids giving their all on Friday and Saturday nights. LET"S GO RED!!!

The Cornellian in his time plays many parts.
His acts being seven ages.  At first, the admittee,
Mewling and puking in his Balch room,
Then the whining West Campuser, with his backpack
And hungover morning face, creeping like snail
On Libe slope. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' entirely-unsexist-equality-and-independence-maybe-just-a-handy? Then an upperclassman,
Full of strange jargon and cloying like a Phillips WASP,
Jealous of oppression, sudden and quick in Comments,
Seeking self-actualization
Even in the LSAT's mouth. And then the alum,
In fair round belly with irony lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered parent,
With spectacles on nose and credit card on side;
His memories, well saved, a world too wide
For his trophy wife, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, NPR
And 538 in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere donor-hood,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything
But money.

Neglect not the sound.  The final line appears to be "Betcha that's a proud moment for a parent."

You know, you shouldn't knock refs to the ice.  That's bad.  But the ref did give him a little shove into the glass.  Maybe he was trying to throw him into the box and missed?

upprdeck

which is worse the Adult throwing the kid into the post or the kid knocking down the ref?  Im more a respect your elders person, but kids these days dont seem to be that anymore.
