Brabant put up mediocre numbers at Q.  He may be big and bruising, but I've never seen an ECAC forward with such numbers have a successful NHL career.

I'd call George Parros a fair ceiling for what could reasonably be expected, though van Brabant doesn't have Parros's size.

Haggerty should have some success (barring injury) in the NHL. The guy is an absolute sniper

I don't believe he will. I hope I'm wrong but he has so much to learn that it's hard to believe that he'll have success soon. He needs seasoning.

I have a hard time believing that he will be able to get as open in the NHL as he did in college. The following is a video that RPI-TV put together of all of his home goals:

Sorry about the goal horn. :-P

Did anyone include the Sunday night through the point - five forwards on the RPI PP - Green SHG in a Dartmouth highlight reel? Guess who was on the point.

Not in a Haggerty highlight video or any of the other compilations that RPI-TV has produced, at least those which they have put on the web. You can, of course, find that in the game video which is on the RPI-TV website.

Ferlin signing with Bruins at entry level contract. Really hoped we would not have anyone leave early. Good luck Brian!!!

In my opinion, the worst early signing since Shane Hynes, in all the senses that can mean. I don't think he's NHL-ready, and I wonder if he, like Shane, won't sniff the big time. Another year, particularly a star turn on a probable national title contender, could've raised his stock considerably.

I wish him the best; for his sake, I hope I'm wrong.

Guess it's time for balanced scoring and shutdown defense—back to '97!

Icy

I'm sorry to see him go.  In my opinion though, he wasn't developing a lot as a hockey player while he was at Cornell.  Maybe he wanted to get into a professional program where he would be coached differently.  This is just speculation on my part.

Vaya con Dios, Brian.  I was hoping the Bruins being so stacked would take the signing pressure off him.

Looks like, ready or not, time for Matt Buckles to be a second liner.  Hit those weights, kid.

I wonder if Ferlin leaving will effect what Ryan does. I think it would if I was his age and in his situation. Losing the #1 tender and now the #1 scorer doesn't bode well for next season. Certainly it would make me think harder.
