I've never worried about tickets to the ECAC final - just walk up and plenty of seats are available. But what is the experience of people who've been to the NCAA first-round regional games? Capacity of the Albany Times-Union Center for hockey is 14,200. That sounds as if it won't sell out but you may wind up far from the ice if you just walk up and buy.

No trouble walking up and getting tickets in Providence in 2003.  BC, Ohio State, and Mankato were the other teams.  It was pretty much sit wherever you wanted.

Also, two-day tickets are already on-sale for $80 here:

Any guesses on price for the single-game tickets?
Any way to find out which sections are set for Cornell before 10am tomorrow?

Does anyone know if the Cornell ticket office will have tix?

ebilmes

Nothing yet on the Cornell site. If you're a student, and there's a student rate, I would highly recommend purchasing tickets from Cornell. Once they send back their allotment, you can no longer get the cheaper rate.

Just called the Ticket Office, there is a message from Gene saying that tix for NCAA ice hockey in Albany will go on sale Tuesday. Expecting a high demand so tickets might be sold via lottery. More info to be posted Monday on cornellbigred.com or thru message on 254-BEAR. No info on cost or section. (btw, basketball on sale tonight via fax; form obtainable on the website)

Can non-students buy through the University? Do students have priority?

For the last four regionals, I've called and gotten tickets through Cornell.  Don't know if the Albany location with increased demand will change the procedure.

Has anyone found the form for basketball tickets yet on the web site?  Gene's message did say "tonight," but soon it will be tomorrow.

I haven't seen them myself, but I have a number of friends who have purchased tickets already

I don't expect the Friday games to sell out, but there should be a good crowd there with three "local" teams: UNH, RIT and Cornell. As a matter of fact, the last time Cornell played UNH in the NCAAs it was at Worcester and the arena was virtually sold out. That was a smaller arena than Albany, but UNH will bring a big crowd down to Albany.

Anyone have info on the prices for the NCAA HOCKEY tourney:  What is the one day vs two day price?  All day session currently unavailable online.
