Mich beat windsor 6-2 and under 18 4-2.. they were tied 2-2 in the 2nd vs windsor.  miami beat them 6-2 but the shots were 37-30..

the coach said Miami was much tougher than Mich.

mich beat niagara 3-2 last week.. i guess we will know how we stack up with mich by next week.

Sports doesn't work this way. I realize you're not claiming that these results determines how our team finishes in March (or dare I say April) as compared to Michigan, but using exhibitions and Week 1 results to benchmark teams is a pretty poor barometer.

Michigan plays at BU tomorrow night which might give us an idea of where BU stands as the game at MSG is a month away.  BU is currently 0-2 with a 3-2 loss to UMass and a 3-0 loss to Notre Dame.  And in exhibitions BU tied St. Francis Xavier 2-2 and beat the Under-18 team 3-2.

mich opens its first two weeks against the same teams  as we do.. if anything you would expect those teams have probably improved. how often do you get 3 games like that to compare right together?

more would be hearing what the windsor coach would say.. mich scored 3 PP and one 4x4 goal to pull away.. they were never in this game even when it was 1-0..  nice to see the kids keep working

But maybe John's KRACH diagram will be more vertical rather than horizontal. :-P

And Lowell wins 5-3.

Who was the 4th coach on Cornell's bench?
D'AGOSTINO! and ESPOSITO! are the most fun names to do the goal-scoring cheer since SANCIMINO! who got it all started.
RIT has a player called SARACINO! :-D

Lest we all take big wins over Canadian colleges for granted, Harvard tied McGill 3-3 at Lynah East tonight.

McGill is  5-2-1   and usually  competes in top  5 or 6  in Canada and Windsor has been a much  weaker program  recently.   Not quite the same level of competition.

One thing that struck me about last night was how much faster and more confident Collins appeared compared with last year.  He made at least two tremendous rushes, one of which turned into a beautiful goal (by Nicholls, I believe).

It also seems clear that this is the most talented group of defensemen we have had, top to bottom, in recent memory.  The ability of the D to move the puck and get shots on net from the point will be a huge step-up from recent years.

Great game last night.  We were really hoping for another goal to break out the 2-4-6-8 cheer, but I guess we'll have to wait for the U-18's.

One surprising thing I noticed was a flatscreen monitor behind the West glass with feeds from over-the-goal cameras.  Could this be the oft-discussed missing Lynah replay system, or maybe the skating Bear wanted to play NHL 10 during the periods? The monitor was facing the South and looked to be a 30" flatscreen.  They could full screen each camera but for most of the game they had a security camera style 4-split screen.  Can anyone corroborate this evidence?

They installed instant replay system in Lynah.  If you look close enough, you'll notice a camera above each goal, which displays a live feed to that monitor.
