All ECAC games are final.  Yale-Colgate does not have standings consequences.

According to John's PP script:

01 Yale
02 Cornell
03 Princeton
04 SLU
-------
05 Harvard
06 Dartmouth
07 Quinnipiac
08 Union
-------
09 Clarkson
10 Colgate
11 RPI
12 Brown

So, at this rate, would we rather play Q or Colgate?

First round match-ups:

Brown at Harvard
RPI at Dartmouth
Colgate at Quinnipiac
Clarkson at Union

Jason gave others pairings, but I'm pretty sure he got something wrong.

Quoting myself, since I'm narcissistic:
And, if the first round games hold form, each quarterfinal features the higher-seeded team vs. what could be considered a "nightmare" opponent... except for us.

Harvard took three of four points against SLU, Dartmouth beat Princeton twice(, we took 3 points against Quinnipiac), and both Union and Clarkson took 2 points from Yale this year.

Sounds great to me.
Or Union or RPI or Clarkson? It's not a pure bracket. They'll play the second worst remaining seed. No better than 7, no worse than 11.

It has to happen eventually.... right? Maybe Clarkson will be forced to forfeit because of their drummers. :-P

Union won tonight 2-1 against clarkson to get the home ice advantage.  It's not that unlikely.

Yeah but that was without their postseason kryptonite.

Well, considering how we played the last part of the season, this is the best possible outcome. Second is definitely better than third. We get a low seed and if there are a couple of upsets, even better. I also like being the home team in the semis, if we get there. Match ups can be important. I'd hope if we get to the ECAC finals we'd get an NCAA bid, win or lose.

My hope at the beginning of the season was to be in the finals and get a bid. Then hope we can win one NCAA game and at worst build on that for next year. I'd then hope Riley would stay for his brother's senior year and a chance to get to the Frozen Four.

A year ago they failed to get a bye.  This year they finished 2nd, their best RS in 4 years.  They have 2 weeks to get healthy, and if they can win their QF series they'll go into Albany with 20 wins.

Does anyone feel a sting of familiarity?  Cornell in 2nd, Clarkson @ Union.  One upset sends Clarkson to Lynah, etc etc...

Does anyone on Clarkson have VD this year?
