I think it can be heard also on the clip ofthe final play of the Lehigh Game linked on that thread.

Quote from: Sun BloggerThe $247 season ticket price tag for my section B row 2 (!) tickets didn't seem so bad after I realized that unless I plant a human toe in my Ivy Room Italian wedding-style soup and sue the university for $10 million, I will never be able to afford seats this good at a professional sporting event.

Wasn't really sure where to put this, but Athletics called me today to tell me that my name has come up on the season tickets waiting list and I was eligilble to buy seats in section G.

I thought G was traditionally a student Section? Student tickets didn't sell out apparently.

Yes I bought them, and don't worry I am selling them to members of my family who are Loyal Cornell fans.

Do you mean that you were on the townie ticket waiting list (as opposed to the student 'waiting list')? This must mean that Gene exhausted every name on the student list and is dipping into the Townie pool to fill Lynah.

Was this an offer just for this season, or are those seats in G going permanently to townies?

I finally got off the townie waiting list 2 seasons ago (with the expansion) and my seats are in Section G.  There's a mix of townies and grad seats in that section, and there's the magical diagonal line in G that officially separates sitting from standing.

Welcome to G, Dpperk!

I had heard there was a dramatic increase in the number of people called off the townie waiting list this year due to a number of people simply not renewing tickets.

I got townie tickets in G a couple years ago, and continue to renew them. I believe this is about my third season. Not the first time they've had to dip into the townie/alumni pool.

Athletics has been advertising a lot in the Sun, even for the exhibition game this weekend against Western Ontario.

Also, they're selling blocks of 5 or 10 season tickets at a discount to student organizations.

It will be interesting to see what other techniques they turn to as they get more and more desperate to fill Lynah.
