Preliminary word from the Oilers' website is that he'll join the Oilers' AHL affiliate in Springfield.
Riley might even get there in time to play in their game against Worcester tomorrow night.
I guess they're hoping to get him on their playoff roster if they qualify.
Looking at the AHL standings, though, that doesn't seem very likely.

For fuck's sake...  I thought we really had a shot to keep him for two or even three years.
On the one hand, I'm happy for him and I'm sure he'll succeed at the next level.
On the other hand, I'm pretty bitter about this.
Looking at it realistically, though, I guess it was only a matter of time.
Sigh...  good luck, Riley.
