The defending Ivy champs-- Penn-- are out of the field of 65.  Gone are the Quakers' incredible seniors--Ibby Jabber, Mark Zoller and Steve Danley.  The trio contributed an average of 43 points per night out of Penn's season average of 74 points per game.

With Cornell's hockey program rebuilding, the basketball program has a golden opportunity to take center stage in Ithaca this winter.

Lets keep our fingers crossed that Adam Gore and Jason Hartford both successfully heal up for next season.

I beg you, please stop trying to convince the eLynah forum to care more about basketball than hockey. A lot of the posters can't wait for the basketball team to win an Ivy title but even then - and even if the hockey team is as bad as IMM thinks it is - it will take a distant second to hockey.

I am not trying to convince anyone to care more about basketball than hockey.  I just want Cornellians to support basketball more than what they have shown in the past.  Too much to ask?

That? No. "Center stage"? Probably.

I love your info, CornellFan, but I have to agree. When you start talking about how basketball will upstage hockey in Ithaca, you're both dreaming and just asking to bump heads with everyone around here.
