So, how long until we play Syracuse? Two of their players got suspended indefinitely for typical college stuff: being drunk, unruly and carrying fake ID.

Update: It is a bit more serious than my snarky shorthand:

Quote from: Syracuse Post-StandardSyracuse police responded to a call of several males fighting at 11:15 p.m. Sunday in front of Ohm Lounge on Franklin Street.

Perritt, 20, a sophomore midfielder, and Carrozza, 20, a junior midfielder, appeared to be intoxicated and were involved in the fight. Earlier in the evening, police had been called to another fight, this one on Walton Street, that also involved the two SU players. Police approached Perritt, who had a bloody nose, but he and Carrozza said they did not need police assistance and officers left the scene.

The second time officers responded, both players were placed under arrest. Perritt, according to the police report, refused to comply until an officer pushed his chest into a brick wall. Carrozza also refused to comply with arresting officers. He shoved the officer who was attempting to arrest him and was wrestled to the ground and subsequently handcuffed.

While police were subduing Carrozza, Perritt fled the scene and was later found in the parking lot of the Half Penny Pub on Fayette Street. When police located him, Perritt refused to put his hands behind his back to be handcuffed until officers forced him to do so.

Suspect this will have a similar ending to the situation with Yale hockey and football players in New Haven, although the "resisting arrest" bit may complicate things a tad.

This is the 2nd incident this season & the 3rd in 2 years. I wouldn't be surprised if they're done for the year. I also wouldn't be surprised if Desko's seat is getting warm.
