RIT 3 Quinnipiac 2

Maybe the Q is suffering from a bit of a holiday hangover after their absence from tournament play?

RIT's goaltender, Guimond, is pretty good though -- fifth in the nation in save percentage (.930), and over the last two seasons, in 4 periods of play against Cornell, he's stopped 68 of 71 shots, with the three goals allowed all coming on the power play.

They're also 5th in the nation in PP & 11th in PK. They're building a nice program. Most of the team returns next year -- it'll be a tough game up in BCA.

Didn't want to bother starting a new thread, but for those who are interested, SNY is picking up the NESN broadcast of UNH/UVM tonight.  3-1 UNH at the start of the 2nd.

Harvard leading RPI 3-0 after two on Friday.  Union up 2-1 over Dartmouth.

Holy Crap.  I heard 3 UNH goals including a shortie over about 15 miles driving from Burlington to my house tonight.  Fallon was pulled and UNH has added 4 more.  7-1 at the end of the second.  Tim Thomas's performance last night must have rubbed off on his team.

So much for what I said about Thomas playing so great a couple of weeks ago.

Now some poor UVM forward is being interviewed on NESN during the 2nd intermission.

cth95

While describing how good UHN is, NESN announcers mentioned how Cornell broke UHN's winning streak.  They also talked about how nice the Estero arena and area are and how good of a tournament that has become.

cth95

UHN has 11 goals in two games so far against UVM, while UVM has given up 25 goals in other 17 games.

Fallon back in after freshman backup, Spillane, gave up 4 goals in 29 min.

Harvard beats RPI 5-1  Here's hoping this isn't the start of another second half charge.

Niagara dropped Colgate 3-2

C'mon.  There's doubt in your mind that the 2007 ECAC final will be Cornell vs. Harvard?  ;-)

Well yeah there is.    A lot, I hope.  :-D

Would love to see a Tech-Cornell final but I can't be there that night.  Ok, I'd settle for a Tech-Cornell semi.  That night, I CAN be there.

Dpperk29

personally I'd rather see it be a Tech-Cornell ECAC final and a Tech-Cornell NCAA final

More likely we will both be sent to the West Regional.

So do I.  :-D

So you'd pull a Harvard band trick?  Priorities, man!  :-)  Wait...I shouldn't talk, since it looks like I won't make the North Country trip for the third time since 1992.  :-)
