My hat goes off to the guy who created a bot to spam threads about curling.  Cuz that'll get you lots of traffic.  Brilliant!
I dunno...they're all under ugarte's post which includes a link to his blog...
Of course, every post of his includes links to his blogs in his signatures, so maybe it's just coincidence that they choose the same post every time to reply to.
And it is very unlikely that the spambots are into my blog. They'd be the only ones. More likely it is the reference to "free," "myspace,"  or "Dane Cook." Stay Free! has a pretty high pagerank, actually, so that might be the hook. I have no theories on why the bots would prefer this post in this thread to any of my other posts.

I dunno, ugart. Now that I look at all, all the spam bot posts are talking about... ya know, that b-word that rhymes ends with log.

Okay, so I doubt they're into *yours* specifically, but that does seem to be a word they're keying off of. Look at how each spam bot have links which include that word. Coincidence?

It may be that the only way to stop this barrage is to kill that post. Not that I say much of interest anyway but history will not suffer if I kill an old post about curling. And so it will die.

(Edit: It appears that I can't delete it completely. Age, if you would do the honors I think it is best for everyone if that post dies with dignity instead of lingers as the meetingplace for spambots.)
