When was the last time a 3 seed won the ECAC tournament?  I couldn't find the answer on USCHO or the ECAC website.

Ah yes, I was trying to forget about that.  I didn't recall that Harvard was the 3 seed that year.

Cornell was the 3 seed in 96 when they won

Nope, in 96 the Big Red was a 4.  Cornell did turn the trick as a 3 seed in 1986 (when Coach Schafer was a team captain).
If you lead a good life, go to Sunday school and church, and say your prayers every night, when you die, you'll go to LYNAH!

My bad, they were the 3rd seed in Lake Placid after 3rd place SLU was knocked out by Harvard in the Quarters.

Hey Greg, I know maybe you haven't really cared yet, but your listings for this year are all messed up.

Its:
5 SLU hosts 12 Brown
6 Union hosts 11 Yale
7 RPI hosts 10 Quinnipiac
8 Clarkson hosts 9 Princeton

CM cWo 44

Stupid SLUTs. Could see that rematch next week if they can get by those pesky Bears

This year the 1-2-3 seeds are essentially the same in ability. 4 is not much behind. Any other conclusion is just our having superstitious fun with the randomness of numbers, like wondering when was the last time a team with gold jerseys won the NCAAs in overtime.

The only difference is that the 2- and 3-seeds play tougher teams en route to the title game. But if you can't get past a 5- to 12-seed team in a best-of-three, you don't belong in Albany.

3-seed is the best team if it regains its health and maybe even if not.

I always care.  Always.  Anyway, fixed.
