"College hockey continues to go through a tumultuous period, with Alaska-Anchorage and Alabama-Huntsville also on the chopping block. UAA is trying to raise enough funds to continue, but hasn't yet. UAH recently suspended operations pending the ability to find a conference. Arizona State, Alaska (Fairbanks) and Long Island will play as independents this year. There has been movement by Lindenwood (St. Louis) to adding D-I men's hockey soon."

Swear to G_d, I'd never heard of Lindenwood University until today. Makes sense, I guess - they're Div. II in most sports. But what the hell, come on in, the water's fine! Or might be, at least.

I think this would mean that the CHA women's conference would lose its autobid, right? They'd be at 5 teams.

I think that requirement is waived for two years.

Don't dare to be different, dudes.

After all, the ECAC managed to get an autobid this year despite finishing the season with only two teams.

Lindenwood sounds like of these great value $6 Australian wines.
