Quote from: jtn27Why isn't the goalie award named after Ken Dryden?

From the 2006 awards, the first year in which they were hyphenated:

Quote from: TrotskyThis season marks a hyphenation of these awards, initially named after the members of the mid 80's Team of Destiny that captured the 1986 ECAC title and came within an eyelash of the (as yet to be christened) Frozen Four.  The new names represent members of the recent Renaissance which, under the able direction of Mike Schafer, has restored the Big Red to regular NCAA contention.

Short answer: Greg's not that old. :-}

Is there some documented evidence of this? I hear they found Sasquatch, so people need something new to chase. :-D

I guess what I'm trying to say is I was impressed by the technical ability of his passing. I thought he put some great tape to tape passes in the offensive zone. The way I interpreted him hanging on to the puck to long was more that he was waiting to make the perfect incisive pass instead of the simple play. The guy I thought was a bit of a puck hog was Bardreau.

I felt that Ferlin's style of play and abilities didn't mesh well with his linemates. That was a big reason why he held the puck a lot at times.

I don't remember seeing very much of Ferlin passing, except right pre-injury.  I don't know, Bardreau-Jillson were a pair which passed to whoever had the better scoring opportunity, not taking a puck for themselves when they thought the other could score.  When I saw Ferlin, I just was frustrated by his not passing when someone else was clearly open/in scoring position.
