Hockey / Re: Alumni in the Playoffs - 2010

I was at the game and it was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. San Jose just dominated the Avs. Didn't see Murray much because Colorado barely played any offense. SOG was 51 to 16 then San Jose toss it in their own net. Unreal.

Section G is usually a split section: half townie, half student. It used to work that they split it diagonally so that there were no students in front of seated spectators. I believe that the Grad students being in that section is a new development. If Athletics decided to sit them in from of seated ticket holders then that was one of the more stupid ideas they've ever had.

I wouldn't blame the students themselves, they bought tickets believing that they could stand. Athletics seems to have dropped the ball mightily though.

I talked to a gate fan who said that they were ejected for standing, let back in when they showed that standing is not prohibited on the back of the ticket and then finally kicked out when they were told that it did say they could be kicked out for any reason whatsoever.::flipc::

If you wanted to rank the different leagues you could probably find statistics on the number of pros who came out of each league/ number of D-1 recruits etc.

What with that and the heisenberg rankings you might be able to form the most uncertain rankings in the history of college hockey (except the pre-season rankings of course;-))

I was under the impression that his "from" list is organised by how good he thinks players are.

I might be way off base though::smashfreak::

I disagree; Nash, Roezler (2+ points/game) and Mike Devin (highest BCHL D-man in heisenberg's list) all look pretty good. The rest, we'll see but I wouldn't say this was a weak class at all.

They may not be as good as this year (I'm not saying they're not either) but we can't always have recruiting classes that contribute 80pts in their first season.

Does anyone know how Heisenbergs rankings work because it looks like Mike Devin in the highest ranked defenseman in the BCHL and I swear he wasn't last time I checked.
It's an indication of how poorly we played that we're reduced to whining about the other team's fans.  That's the sort of thing we've come to expect from... you get the point.

You know what will make the opposing team's fans more bearable?  Beating them.  Then they'll shut up.  Until then, well, there are always enough morons in any given crowd to color it.  That's the whole secret of mob violence.
Well said!
Yeah, I'm done.

I'm glad "Scrivner" got the start, but there's no offense on this team, and neither goalie deserves any blame.
Well, when you take arguable the most creative player, and second highest scorer, out of the team you have to expect the offense to stumble a bit.
