Re: [OT LAX] NCAA first round: Cornell at Towson - 18 years ago
Terrible turnover on Cornell; 3:36 left, Towson ballby scoop85 - Hockey
Re: [OT LAX] NCAA first round: Cornell at Towson - 18 years ago
It sounds like Towson is getting the majority of the ground ballsby scoop85 - Hockey

Bad looseball push call on Cornell (even Towson announcers agree) allows Towson to keep possessionby scoop85 - Hockey
Re: lax tourney - 18 years ago
Well, other than the preposterous fact that we have to travel to Towson, I think the bracket is ok. I would much rather have the chance to play Duke at Princeton than play Hopkins at their place. But first things first, and use this disrepect as a motivational tool to take this tournament by storm. Looking at Towson's record, nothing there gives me any clue as to why they got the #7 seed, otby scoop85 - Hockey
Re: [OT Lax] Cornell lacrosse vs. Hobart - 18 years ago
Well, I forgot the #3 seed was left ... and we are UNSEEDED and have to travel to TOWNSON!!!! What a crock! And we thought getting sent to Minnesota was a hose job; this is pathetic.by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: [OT Lax] Cornell lacrosse vs. Hobart - 18 years ago
We will be coming up in a moment ... my guess is that Maryland gets the 6 seed, Cornell gets #7.by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: LAX: Cornell 7 Dartmouth 5 4th quarter - 19 years ago
Fabulous wins back-to-back on the road. With Brown and Princeton left on the Ivy schedule, however (even though Princeton isn't Princeton this year, they still scare me), a bit too early to project that the AQ is in the bag.by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: LAX: Cornell 7 Dartmouth 5 4th quarter - 19 years ago
Now 8-7 Cornell with 1:58 -- hold onto your hatsby scoop85 - Hockey
Re: OT LAX: Cornell lacrosse at Syracuse - 19 years ago
Sorry for my impatience, Delta. Thanks to you and the others who kept us posted. Now we can dream a bit, can't we? The season seems to be setting up pretty favorbably.by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: OT LAX: Cornell lacrosse at Syracuse - 19 years ago
Spectacular win. While I want to sweep the Ivies ang get the autobid, the victory certainly will help our chances if an at-large berth is needed. Hard to believe this team could only manage 5 goals against North Carolina; Tambroni must have rally done something to get the offense going.by scoop85 - Hockey

Stop teasing ... is it over?by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: [LAX] Harvard 1 @ Cornell 8 (at the half) - 19 years ago
Very impressed with Cornell's effort today. Dominated what was reputed to be a respectable Harvard squad. Tuesday should be very interesting.by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: uscho poll - best fans - 19 years ago
Well, listening to the Minny game on the internet, their fans sure sounded awfully loud to me (at least when Glenn Somner wasn't screaming over them )by scoop85 - Hockey
Borque Leaves BU - 19 years ago
Over on USCHO. I guess he wasn't much into the academics and is going to play in the Quebec Junior league. While I'm no fan of BU, not exactly the best news for Eastern hockey right now.by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: OT: Lax vs. Penn - 19 years ago
13-6, Penn man-up 4:26 left in the 4th. Ends a Cornell 8-0 run.by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: OT: Lax vs. Penn - 19 years ago
9-5, Nee man-up. Nice recovery from the early 3-0 hole.by scoop85 - Hockey
Which loss was more painful? - 19 years ago
The Frozen Four loss in 2003 or today? Even though today is fresh, I don't think it's a close call. Two years ago we were going in with a senior dominated team which had high expectations, playing on NHL size ice in a friendly environment against a team we all thought we should beat. We dominated good portions of that game, and if not for the loss of concentration after the disallowed goal,by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs. Minnesota post game thread - 19 years ago
This weekend does point out the unfortunate talent gap that seems to have opened between the WCHA and everyone else (probably except for Michigan). Not to say would couldn't have won today, we certainly could have. But after putting up a phenomenal unbeaten streak and dominating the ECACHL, we are left on the outside looking in. Minnesota, which was third in their conference and lost in their cby scoop85 - Hockey

I would say take it easy on O'Byrne. He is (and will continue to be) an integral part of the team for the next 2 years.by scoop85 - Hockey
