Not to mention, in the profile of Andrew Collins on the main news page there is a reference to him "bleeding Cornell Red" that struck me as odd given the context of this season.by scoop85 - Hockey

UNH stepped it up last year without Gare. It's time for us to do it tonight.by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs. UNH scores and updates- spoilers inside - 21 years ago
A tough one to swallow. Cornell had the territorial edge, clearly, but UNH played well in their zone, limiting our quality chances. I think BC actually had better scoring chances in Providence, but today Lenny had a couple he would like back. As a (fairly) old timer about to hit the 40 mark, I was fixated on following this team this team this year. Seeing them win in Albany with my daughter wby scoop85 - Hockey
ESPN.Com mention - 21 years ago
The first page of the ESPN.com website has a link to the AP story of the game. Not much of a story (no quotes), but some recognition is better than none.by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: T.V. Schedule - 21 years ago
The 9:00 listing on my digital cable shows the CC-Michigan game (of course, the 3:30 listing shows the Cornell game ). I have tried finding a phone number for FSNY online without success. Anyone know how to reach them? GO BIG RED!by scoop85 - Hockey
MSU-Mankato -- good omen - 21 years ago
Here's an interesting quote about the MSU squad from MSU's former coach, Don Brose, which appeared in last Friday's edition of the MSU-Mankato student newspaper: "They are real skilled and fast. The only thing that could hurt them is if they get played real physical. I think if they can keep from playing on a regulation size rink they will have an advantage." A good omen as we try toby scoop85 - Hockey
Re: WTF??? - 21 years ago
I agree with those who have said that while our first game is more of a challenge than we deserve, I believe the potential second round game would be more favorable for us than the projected matchups in the other regions.by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: It's time...Albany roll call - 21 years ago
I'll be there for both games with my daughter, Cornell class of 2017 . My first live CU game in many years, and I will be counting the days.by scoop85 - Hockey
Re: Offtopic: Big Red Hoops - 22 years ago
Although the injury is disappointing, I had been concerned that perhaps he had jumped ship due to the losing. He's apparently a talented kid, and I hope in a year, or perhaps two, Barnes will be part of a winner. Given the number of Freshman getting big minutes, it looks like there is some hope down the road.by scoop85 - Hockey
