Al DeFlorioLiz '05Towson's Justin Schneider was hurt in the Delaware-Towson game over the weekend. His teammate's shot hit him in the back of the neck. With what? Sounds like Miami football. Presumably the lacrosse ball, though nothing I saw stated so explicitlyby Liz '05 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell v. Towson pre-game - 17 years ago
Looking around the LaxPower forums, I found these tidbits: Towson's Justin Schneider was hurt in the Delaware-Towson game over the weekend. His teammate's shot hit him in the back of the neck. Luckily, it doesn't seem to be serious, and the trip he took to the hospital was precautionary. Eckerl, the faceoff guy, seems to have not done very well last weekend. Did Coach Seaman complain abouby Liz '05 - Other Sports
Re: NCAA Lax Selections - 17 years ago
My high school used to (perhaps still does) have a girls v. boys lacrosse scrimmage. I believe it was played with girls' rules (i.e. no contact) and boys' positions (number of people on the field, field set-up, etc.). I never saw one, but I know the differences between men's and women's lacrosse are significant enough that they had to draw up new rules for these scrimmages.by Liz '05 - Other Sports

Re: #lynah chatting - 17 years ago
jtwcornell91KenPWhat program do you need to access the site? IE won't connect. The full Mozilla suite (not just Firefox) includes an IRC application called Chatzilla. There are other clients--see for example the list at --but Chatzilla is easy to use, free (like both speech and beer), and easy to get. I use mIRC, also easy to use and free. I believe you can get it through the link on the eby Liz '05 - Hockey
Re: Response from Jeremy Hartigan on Princeton broadcast issue - 17 years ago
Fred, I did use the term "services unrendered" in my initial email to CSTV; they didn't even bother to respond to the request for a refund. I think, like you do, that my annual (instead of monthly) subscription hurt me in my attempt to recover some money. I'm not willing to put in the effort of challenging it with my credit card company and arguing for another few hours with CSby Liz '05 - Other Sports
Re: Response from Jeremy Hartigan on Princeton broadcast issue - 17 years ago
pfibigerI wrote an email to CSTV as well, and got back a perfunctory email: CSTV DroneThank you for your inquiry, Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that all home games will be available without being PPV. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you, Desire W. CSTV Customer Support "Fortunately, we're happy to charge you once for an annual subscription and then charge you aby Liz '05 - Other Sports

Re: Riley Nash commits to Cornell - OT - 17 years ago
nyc94jkahnGetting back to the topic, here's the announcement on Nash and Berk posted today on Salmon Arm"s site: "University of Cornell"? Does it sit on Lake Cayuga? Considering that they spell their own team name "Silverbacks," "SilverBacks," and "Sbacks," and "wish all the bast," I don't think "University of Cornell" is aby Liz '05 - Hockey
Re: Two more recruits - awesome check - 17 years ago
KeithKbillhowardAwesome hit, without breaking stride, judging by the first clip. The opponent's helmet flying off was a nice touch. Almost falling down himself after the hit isn't quite as impressive. Need to stay on your skates. Yeah, but I'm willing to believe that it was the falling player sliding into him that took him down, not the hit itself. Either way, I'm sure he'll learn to keep his sby Liz '05 - Hockey

Robbjtwcornell91The campus is beautiful in October for the two weeks when the foliage is ablaze, but it's also beatuful in January when it's covered in snow. The hardest part to get through is the dark rainy November night. No way - the hardest part to get through is the dark rainy APRIL night. RitaRichH7) Fire Andy. Seriously. Rainbows will appear. Roses will bloom. Give it a try. Gee, maybe that is why there are so many rainbows in Hawaii, no Andy! But I always thought the roses were due to the April Showers. But April in Ithaca always has two weeks of sun for Cornell Days...by Liz '05 - Hockey

redhair34I guess McKee was called up to Portland, because he is in net tonight against Manchester (Moulson's team). Only a few minutes left in the second and Portland is leading Manchester 2-0. Nor was he in net on Saturday against Pensacola. Anyone want to track down whether he's actually in Portland? Edit: I was confused. Dpperk29finchphil Rich SI'd definitely be in favor of that change and I know a lot of other fans who would agree. Is that determined by agreement of the ADs or by Steve Hagwell? I would imagine it has something to do with travelling. It's a long ride from Boston to Ithaca after a 7:00 pm hockey game. Starting at 7:30 pm would just make the ride end even later. ftyuvWell, are we defining choking as any instance of not playing to one's potential, or does it have to specifically be caused by fear, nervousness, etc? To me, choking includes those causes. In that case, since I don't think a team up by 3 with 20 minutes to go is really shaking in their skates, I'd say that blowing that lead is more laziness than choking. Jordan 04How to two people complete whiff on the opportunity to elaborate on Nickerson's possible sexual proclivities when asked how it all got started? Must be the off-season. WillRI have been reading about this guy's syphilis for 2 years and now i finally have to ask for someone to explain how this got started. I believe it was a cheer along the lines of "Nickerson has the ," where was the physical hand motion. Sections A and B didn't like him - he was flicking us off and such and the more we picked on him, the more he responded. We learned his name (Clby Liz '05 - Hockey

RichHRich SNickerson left college h ockey three years ago. Is their a point to still bashing the guy?
