Re: Jack Edwards does evil laugh after Bruins hit - 15 years ago
I love the Bruins, but even that creeped me out. Though I would've liked to hear the crowd reaction in Boston to Lucic hammering Jones like that.by oceanst41 - John Spencer Is Dead

Re: Cornell-Bemidji NCAA regionals postgame - 15 years ago
Figured I would just throw my two cents in. I'm not sure many had visions of a quarterfinal game as a realistic goal for this Cornell team. I suspect all of us would have jumped at the chance to see the team make it this far. I will echo the sentiment that this loss was tougher to take than Minnesota and Wisconsin. For once Cornell wasn't the underdog, it was a game that was there for the takby oceanst41 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-RPI Postgame (Game 1) 3/13/09 - 15 years ago
It is difficult to beat a team four times in one year, let alone doing it in four straight games. That being said, at this point I'll happily take 4-1 vs. RPI this year.by oceanst41 - Hockey
Re: RPI 0 at Cornell 0 (2nd period) - 15 years ago
RichHKyle RoseRPI scores. 2004 all over again... ugh. Huh? In 2004, Cornell clobbered Clarkson in Game 1. I also like how you've folded up your tent in a best-of-three after 1 game. 2007 maybe?by oceanst41 - Hockey
Re: RPI 1 at Cornell 0 (3rd period) - 15 years ago
I am blown away with how many late game let downs there have been in the second half. Just because we could see this coming after two periods doesn't make it right. Well we'll see what this team is made of tomorrow. I don't know what the PWR implications of this are, but I'm guessing they have nothing to fall back on right now, at least nothing very sturdy.by oceanst41 - Hockey

Well it sounds like Cornell is buzzing these last few mintues (I picked it up with about 14 to go, so I can't speak to anything prior).by oceanst41 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - March 2009 - 15 years ago
Rich SNice game by Bitz. He learned well at cornell. I wouldn't be too hard on him for having contributed to a Rangers' goal. Watching on TV it was easy to see that Fernandez was brutal in the Bruins' net and was weak on at least three goals. As one of the announcers commented on NBC, "they have to get better goaltending than that." Hmmm...that means we'll see a lot more of oby oceanst41 - Hockey

ftyuvsah67oceanst41sah67Boston lost to Philly 4-2 tonight, but Byron Bitz saw some powerplay time at the end of the game, and subsequently picked up an assist on Stephane Yelle's PPG. Bruins just traded Nokelainen to Anaheim for Steve Montador. This move was made possible because Bitz replaced Nokelainen on the 4th line, and basically won the job. I wonder how their acquisition of Mark Recchiby oceanst41 - Hockey

ugarteftyuvRitajkahnBitz scores on a great effort, fighting off Scott Niedermayer. It might be time to stuff another ballot box, Bitz for B's player of the week!! I'm not so sure we'll even need to stuff the ballot. Apparently not; Bitz is currently sitting at ~64%. He finished at 69% and beat out Savard and Ryder for the weekly honors. The pregame talk was all about how well he's transby oceanst41 - Hockey

Here comes another Cornell PP, unless you ask the opinion of the Yale announcers. Because Arcobello didn't take his regular shift after the boarding call earlier in the game.by oceanst41 - Hockey

Re: Cornell 0 at Yale 2 (2nd period) - 15 years ago
oceanst41Goes without saying really this is a huge kill. Yale kills 3 straight shorthanded situations and then gets a 5 on 3 just before the end of the period. That's boatloads of momentum for Yale if they score or Cornell if they kill.by oceanst41 - Hockey
