Re: Cornell at Ohio State, November 1 - 21 years ago
Well, I've been sitting here in Columbus all week, and I'll be getting to the game around 6:30 if all goes well. I'll try and spot you all....I'll be wearing my Nieuwendyk Cornell jersey, so if you see me, say hello! I may try and switch over to the CU section, but you'll have to accept my girlfriend into the section, and she'll be wearing an OSU jersey... GO RED! Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey

If we could get clearance to play, I'm a drummer, and I'm sure I could procure a snare drum for the game....by JordanCS - Hockey

Does anyone know if the pep band will be joining us in Columbus?by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Ohio State, November 1 - 21 years ago
I've had my tickets for a little while now, and I am so pumped. They were purchased from the OSU box office, so they're not in the visitor's section, but I may try and sneak over there. It'll be my only CU game this year. Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: YES! I'm actually going to see a game this year! - 21 years ago
Great to hear it...I'll have to try and find you, John, as well as the others. The place at OSU is huge, so I hear, and likely won't sell out, so we should all be able to get together (to the chagrin of my girlfriend) and cheer on the Red.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: It was only a matter of time... - 21 years ago
I will be signing up...for one reason only: I have no choice. I will be living a continent away, and aside from the first game of the season at OSU, I'll have to catch every game online...which makes me bummed.... Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
YES! I'm actually going to see a game this year! - 21 years ago
I thought that I was going to miss CU hockey for the first time in 6 years, but I will at least make it to one game this year. See, I am currently living in Virginia, and in early November, I'm moving to Germany, so trips to Ithaca aren't exactly easy. However, I'll be in Ohio for 3 weeks at the end of October/beginning of November, so I'll be headed to the Cornell / OSU game on Nov 1! Anyoneby JordanCS - Hockey

Yeah, I was wondering about that too! Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey

Where in Europe/Ou en Europe/Wo in Europa/Dove nel'Europa/Donde en Europa/etc? That would be "Wo in Europa?", although they haven't told me exactly where. Re: NHL draft - 21 years ago
Let's just hope LeNeveu stays to finish out his college career. I don't think leaving early has really helped JMP any, so hopefully Dave will realize that and decide to stick around. Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: ECAC in Albany, thread 2 - 21 years ago
I happen to think that there is one major reason for moving to Albany...same normal ice size. I think it's wrong to play an entire season on a sheet of ice that is roughly the same size everywhere, then go to an enormous sheet that changes the game. Sure, the good teams usually adjust just fine, but it seems very dumb to me to have the PLAYOFFS be the only time you play on Olympic ice. Jordaby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Elliott - 21 years ago
Just a note: according to the current box score on ESPN.com, Elliott wasn't scratched for tonight's final game. Since I'm moving and I don't have a TV right now, did anyone see him on the bench? Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: [Lax (W)] Beating Syracuse again - 22 years ago
This rocks. With CU WLax winning today, they're into the NCAA Final Four, and if Mens Lax can pull one off against Virginia, we'd have both Lax teams in the FF....Hmmm...a bit o' interesting history. CU becoming a Lax powerhouse again?by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: NCAA Game 2: UNH - 22 years ago
Our team has absolutely nothing to hang their heads about. They played an outstanding game and had the #1 team in the country tied with under 3 minutes to go in the game. Underhill wasn't at his strongest in the first, but settled down after that, and we played our style of hockey for the remaining 50 minutes of play. Hopefully we made a few people stand up and notice that the ECAC is NOT anby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: NCAA Game 2: UNH - 22 years ago
3-2 after 1 is fine against these guys. With the notable exception of the Hahvahd game, we've played our best hockey in the 2nd period. Those two high sticking calls were VERY questionable. Looks like he's a penalty happy ref. Let's come out fighting for the puck the whole rest of the game. We're definitely still in this game. Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: CU- QU game analysis - 22 years ago
Speaking from someone who was at the game (sorry for those who couldn't make it.), I can say that the QU goal was definitely because we were saving ourselves. After the first half of the game there was almost no CU hitting, which is good...there was no need. The 3rd and 4th lines played the vast majority of the time in the latter part of the game, and basically were more concerned about not getby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Who Will Be Coming to Worcester - 22 years ago
Hey Greg...Lauren says "What? I'm not a student!!!!" ('00) Cool list...we should all meet after the game for some fun times. Oh, and we'll be in Sec. 238 Row F. Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: YES Network carrying games! - 22 years ago
Ithaca TW Cable says that they will air the second game (should CU win) on Channel 74. This was said on NewsCenter 7 this evening.by JordanCS - Hockey

Yes, I enjoyed your telephone cheer...especially the 'all six fans' one.by JordanCS - Hockey

Re: Who Will Be Coming to Worcester - 22 years ago
I'll be there with Lauren on Saturday. Won't be able to stay for the Sunday game, though. (and there damn well better BE a Sunday game.)by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Manderville to waddle - 22 years ago
Cool! I'm a big Pens fan, so it's cool have have a Cornell alum on their roster. Now, if they could only make a trade for Nieuwy, we'd have something!by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Hahvahd vs. Maine - 22 years ago
Well, here's the deal. I want CU to go further than Harvard in the tourny, so if CU wins the whole thing, it'd be fine to have harvard make it to the Semis so we can kill them there. That said, I can not bring my self to cheer for the Crimson at any point, unless the Red are not in the picture. For the east teams in the Frozen Four, I'd like to see either Cornell-BU, or Cornell-HU, not Corneby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: NCAA Tix - 22 years ago
I'll be up there with you in Sec 238, Al. I think I'm in Row F. Can't remember. I too was going to wait for Cornell's alottment, but when I saw how full they were on Ticketmaster, I bought them then, since I didn't want to risk missing out. Unforunately, I'll only be able to see the first day. I have work Friday and Monday, and I live in Ithaca, so it's going to be a 6 hour drive early Saturby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: 1st round: Quinnipiac - 22 years ago
I just got tickets to the first round (ticketmaster), and they did not have all that much left. I got tickets for the upper level, in the corner. I wasn't sure if Cornell got an alottment or not, and since they were running out online, I got them. Anyway, I'll be there for the Saturday game against Quinnipiac only...won't be able to stay for the Sunday game should we advance to face UNH (Ugh..by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: hobey=murray - 22 years ago
Jim Fahey, Northeastern, D, Sr., Milton, Mass. Not only was he the only defenseman in the nation to lead his team in scoring, Fahey topped all blueliners in the nation in points. Didn't Murray lead our team in scoring? Right now, he's tied with Paolini, but he was also tied for the lead at the end of the RS. Do they not count ties? Hmmm.... Damn it...Thom...you JUST beat me to it!by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Yale-Cornell Part II - 22 years ago
The game last night was great. We played so much better than the night before...put it together for the whole game (except for a 5 minute lapse in the middle-end of the 1st.) And played especially hard-nosed, determined hockey in the 3rd. T-Bell's goal was awesome! Just barely crossing the line as the Yale guy sprinted hopelessly after it. 2 SHG in 2 nights...haven't seen that from us before.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Undy's condition... - 22 years ago
I'm very glad to hear Underhill is healthy. I honestly don't know what I would do if I were in Schafer's shoes. I think I would likely just keep alternating every game. Assuming (please!) that we win this weekend and go to Placid, I would switch it, though, starting LeNevue on Friday and Underhill on Saturday. (big game experience). It's worked all season, so I probably wouldn't mess with it.by JordanCS - Hockey
