Re: poor grades? - 21 years ago
Well, in most of my EE courses, the grades were normalized around a B-. Therefore, roughly 12 percent of the class got As. Unfortunately, I didn't get up there very often. I'm one of those people who don't exist, with my *ahem* 2.85 GPA. Oh well...I have the degree...and I did make Deans list in the fall of my Junior year! Jmanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Player-Related Songs - 21 years ago
"Abbotts" doesn't really work, though. Originally, it was "Auger," to rhyme with Olé. (unless there was someone else before Vinnie Auger...but that was the cheer when I first started going to CU games). Then "McRae...s" followed, for the similar rhyme scheme. Unless you can figure out a way to make Abbotts rhyme with that, it'll sound really wierd to me. Oh wellby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: BU/BC - 21 years ago
BTW, What is up with the PWR? How is it humanly possible for BU and St Cloud to be tied in the PWR, when BU has a higher RPI, and a considerably better winning percentage? Isn't something a bit messed up here? Michigan's much, much better record should be enough to overcome the slightly better RPI of St. Cloud, don't you think? I know it's a numerical formula, but it kinda seems odd when theby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: USCHO Poll 2/10 - 21 years ago
Anyone else find it interesting that BC got a #1 vote? 6 losses and 3 ties? Anyone want to venture a guess as to what would happen if we went 0-2-3 over the next 5? We'd be down out of the top 10...but they got a first place vote. I know they're up to 4th with the PWR, having a more difficult schedule...and they likely deserve the 4th place spot in the poll. I'm just kind of shocked at the 1by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: CC and ND lose - 21 years ago
Also, with those results, Cornell now has the best record in NCAA Division I with an .826 winning percentage. Colorado College is 2nd, at .816. When was the last time Cornell led the country in winning percentage this late in the season? 1970? Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Vermont 1 @ Cornell 8 - 3rd period - 21 years ago
Final: Cornell 8, UVM 1. Not a bad weekend, outscoring the opposition 14-2. CU Outshot them 41 - 19. So, we're now 19-4-0...I guess I can handle that.by JordanCS - Hockey

I don't like the UVM pressure right now....want this one for LeNeveu.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Vermont 0 @ Cornell 7 - 3rd period - 21 years ago
Hornby has a game DQ - will not play next Friday. plus a 5 minute major....so UVM has a 3 minute PP. Let's go LeNeveu!!!by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Vermont 0 @ Cornell 7 - 3rd period - 21 years ago
Hornby just went nuts and started a fight, and appears to have won quite handily. Let's see if he'll play the next game....the UVM guy didn't fight back.by JordanCS - Hockey

Re: Cornell 6 Dartmouth 1 FINAL - 21 years ago
I can't remember his name...I just remember I picked him out of the program to taunt at random. I remember telling him he was the most worthless excuse for a defenseman I'd ever seen. Have you talked to Mike M recently? I haven't talked with him since Placid last year. With the infamous Boucher taunt, I take personal responsibilty for at least 33% of that goal. I was pretty viscious thatby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Cornell 6 Dartmouth 1 FINAL - 21 years ago
Well, an excellent job by everyone to get the final revenge for the Seniors. Also, did anyone have just a gleeful little smile at the fact that Boucher got replaced in his (likely) final game at Lynah? It's the slap in the face I wish he'd gotten when we in section A and B helped to score that goal for CU in the loss a couple years back. Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Cornell 1 Dartmouth 0 - 21 years ago
End of 2nd Period: 2-0 Cornell. SOG: CU 18, DC 11. Let's keep it up!!!by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Cornell 1 Dartmouth 0 - 21 years ago
Dartmouth coming on stronger...has 8 of the last 9 shots. Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Cornell 1 Dartmouth 0 - 21 years ago
Dartmouth finally gets a couple SOG, currently 9-2 in favor of CU.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs. SLU(t) 5-2 FINAL - 21 years ago
According to the SLU announcers, we had 41 shots on goal. Damn. Way to go Red! 16-3-0....let's keep it up. This was the first game I have had a chance to listen to on the net over here in Europe...it's just hard to start listening to a game at 1 AM. LGR! Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Cornell at RPI 0-0 - 21 years ago
Nice to get the updates. I'm here in Europe checking in. Is that correct that it's 4-1 CU now, or is Greg reporting the official scoring of the Vesce tip PPG? I can't get an audio feed where I'm at. Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Score updates - Cornell @ Ohio St. - 21 years ago
We made an impact, and USCHO shows that Michigan lifted our cheers (which most of us knew anyway): from the recap: "The Cornell faithful showed in force, demonstrating to Ohio State fans just what a cheering section should do during a hockey game. The Big Red crowd, a mix of fans who traveled from Ithaca and Lynah alumni, brought "Sieve!" signs and newspapers, and chanted in a manby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Score updates - Cornell @ Ohio St. - 21 years ago
Just got back from the game. Cornell played well sporadically, but Lenny was fantastic the entire game. He made some OUTSTANDING saves, and his reflexes were as sharp as I've ever seen. You could definitely tell that CU was a bit rusty from all the time off, but when they got pumped, they played very, very well. There were a bunch of excellent defensive plays, and the 2nd CU goal made me so hby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Ohio State, November 1 - 21 years ago
Jim, she'd want to come to the CU section since I'm there...she certainly won't be cheering for Cornell. Good thing too...I'd be pissed if she was that disloyal to her alma mater. Plus, she'll get a lot less hostility from you guys than I'll get sitting in the middle of a bunch of OSU fans. Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
