Re: hahvahd sucks - 18 years ago
Bump...and Harvard still does SUCK (can't you hear that giant sucking sound coming all the way from Cambridge, MA? Oh, sorry, that is just Larry Summers...)by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: Cornell - Colgate Post Game Thread - 18 years ago
Four penalties in the 3rd period? We got lucky with a 2-0 score. If we played the last period on Saturday like we did today, we'd be in BIG trouble. Asides from that, I agree, we played solid the first two periods. Very physical, very dominating. Like a championship team that we are capable of being.by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: Colgate semi-final Game thread - 18 years ago
5+ minutes left in the game. I really worry about our low goal production, vs. a red-hot Sucks team that scored 10 goals today.by CU at Stanford - Hockey

Don't think Chris Abbott was hurt...He is back on the ice, I think.by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: Still Cornell 1 Colgate 0 - 18 years ago
Yeah, we have no video feed on the computer here in Silicon Valley. Sucks...It was great watching that second period of action. At least we saw the Bitz goal. Let's Go Red!by CU at Stanford - Hockey
What $#%@&@ video???? - 18 years ago
Is it me, or we lost video on All-Access in this third period?by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Who is rooting for Harvard now? - 18 years ago
Do we really want to play against Sucks in the Championship? Well, our team had better show up! Just look at Dartmouth.by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: Why I will be (shudder) rooting for Sucks tomorrow - 18 years ago
5-0 in favor of Sucks...I guess you are not rooting for the Crimson now, are you??by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: Broadcast info: for those Unable to go to Albany - 18 years ago
This is really bad...5-0 in favor of Sucks, and it is only the second period. Dartmouth can just roll over and go home already.by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: Cornell v. Clarkson Game 2 - 18 years ago
Referee Dave Hansen sucks...I mean, he SUCKS.by CU at Stanford - Hockey

Re: colgate video status - 18 years ago
I am in CA...video just not working that great. I have my laptop connected to a landline 100 Mbps but the image is still breaking up. Audio goes in and out, too.by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: *Major* Cornell-Harvard hockey TV event (+ ballpark tour, CU hoops, auction, food, music) in Philadelphia on 2/18 - 18 years ago

Re: Clarkson at Cornell postgame thread (2/21/06) - 18 years ago
The way I look at it...after the spanking at Princeton, any 4-point weekend is a good weekend. (Well, that is redundant, I know, but, it had to be said.) I am looking forward to my trip to Philadelphia over the Feb 17-18 weekend. I will finally have a chance to "watch" Cornell hockey "live," when Harvard comes to Ithaca. The game will be on a large-screen TV at the Cornellby CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: MSU 1 Cornell 2 End of 2nd pd - 18 years ago
OK folks, I am leaving the office soon, so I probably won't be updating the scores in the 3rd period. Would someone else please pick up the slack? Thanks, and Go Big Red!by CU at Stanford - Hockey

Re: Lehman to step down - 18 years ago
2) Lehman's wife was brought in as a presidential advisor and essentially pushed out Inge Reichenbach (who was part of the old guard). Ironically, donations and media coverage have increased significantly in the last 2 years, obstensibly due to the first lady. Sorry to be chiming in SO LATE...But, having worked in development for the past ten years (Cornell--Harvard--Stanford), let me just saby CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: Matt Moulson added to Dunk Tank List - 19 years ago
Do we have a surrogate to dunk for those of us who are not in Ithaca??by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: Private yet public sounding - 19 years ago
I think most of us don't know that MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) is now a private university, but it was established, like Cornell, under the Morrill Land Grant Act of 1862. So MIT was initially public, but then became private.by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: 2005-06 Schedule - 19 years ago
Cal Berkeley often is called Berkeley Yeah, but that is just shorthand. It does not change the fact that the official name is "University of California, Berkeley." Like Stanford, its official name reads "Leland Stanford Junior University." No, we are not a junior college. Just named after the junior (who died at age 15).by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: Public yet private sounding - 19 years ago
Rutgers...sounds better than the state university of New Jersey Kent...formerly, Kent State (which does not conjure the best image, if you know what I mean)by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: Support Schafer and our team - 19 years ago
No kids, and still no mortgage (yet...my wife is working hard on changing that). So, my tax-deductible contributions to various charities make up a significant chunk of my tax reduction. Certainly hope to keep it up even after we are attached to a mortgage.by CU at Stanford - Hockey
Re: Springfest for OLD GUYS - 19 years ago
I recall my "Slope Day" as "Springfest," which tells you what decade I came from My freshman year (1984): The Ramones in Barton Hall (bad weather) My sophomore year (1985): Lousy weather, and I don't recall if there was a band My junior year (1986): I think this was the year when Day Hall unilaterally relocated "Springfest" to North Campus (Helen Newman fieldby CU at Stanford - Hockey
