Re: Men's Basketball Schedule is Released - 15 years ago
Cornell plays St. John's in the opening round of the Preseason NIT on the campus of Boston College. The other game is Boston College vs. Loyola (Md). The winners then play each other for the right to go to MSG for the semifinals. Losers play in a consolation game. The NIT guarantees Cornell four games. If the Big Red dont advance to MSG, they will be re-seeded and placed in another regionby CornellFan - Other Sports

Re: Hoops News - 15 years ago
Just an FYI. We may be publishing a story on a new recruit later today or tomorrow on the Cornell Basketball Blog. We are waiting for confirmation of the verbal commitment from a few sources. But we believe the commitment is a done deal. Will publish news when/if it is official.by CornellFan - Other Sports
Re: Hoops News - 15 years ago
We are talking to several transfers right now and could bring on board as many as four of them. They are all different sizes and skill sets. Some of these guys will need to sit out this year, but there are some who can play right away because they did not spend last season at a Division I program (but still have D-I experience). Looks like we may snag a couple really good ones-- and there isby CornellFan - Other Sports
Hoops News - 15 years ago
Campus has been swarming with recruits visiting this spring, and we could be adding a couple guys in the next week or two, including some possible transfers from some "big name" college programs. Lets hope for some good news soon! Big Red lost just one senior from the 22-6 (14-0 Ivy) team, but return the top 5 scorers (including 4 All Ivy players). Schedule so far has unconfirmby CornellFan - Other Sports

Re: Collin Robinson-Basketballl - 15 years ago
Jim, I was merely advising the board that there is a bit more substance than just his on-the-record stated reasons for leaving Cornell (e.g. academic major or weather).by CornellFan - Other Sports
Re: Collin Robinson-Basketballl - 15 years ago
Tom LentoSwampy It doesn't seem like his departure is the death knell for Cornell's Ivy title hopes next season, and maybe there were personality issues behind the scenes - this might be better all around. Good luck to him. Cornell went 14-0 in the Ivy without him.by CornellFan - Other Sports
Re: Collin Robinson-Basketballl - 15 years ago
The communications program, going home, the weather were ALL factors in his decision to return to LA and USC. But there were also other factors that caused him to leave the basketball team that had nothing to do with USC/LA. We will keep these reasons off The Cornell Basketball Blog and ELynah-- because they are private and only for the team only. But read between the lines in the LA Timby CornellFan - Other Sports
Re: Collin Robinson-Basketballl - 15 years ago
No comment Delta--- except will add that LA Times took this planted story from us. And despite what Collin told the LA Times, his official party line, if he has an opportunity to walk-on, that kid will run after it.by CornellFan - Other Sports
Re: Collin Robinson-Basketballl - 15 years ago
I just want to add that the article is very fair and factually accurate with respect to the situation revolving around Collin's departure from USC before he arrived at Cornell.by CornellFan - Other Sports
Collin Robinson-Basketballl - 15 years ago
