Actually... Cornell's current freshman Geoff Reeves is a triplet. But his two sibs are sisters. Here is a video interview of Reeves with some in action footage:by CornellFan - Other Sports

If Penn and Princeton are the best-- then lets see them win 3 in a row in a playoff situation. If they can't do that... then they don't deserve to go to the BIG dance.by CornellFan - Other Sports
Re: Ivy League Meets Today... - 17 years ago
Why the Ivies Should Create a Postseason Tournament? The Answer is simple folks. Adding a postseason tournament will create parity in the Ivy League and make each season exciting. I am not talking about making the month of March exciting for a 1-13 Ivy team. I am talking about making the entire year exciting, year after year. Let me explain… As the Ivy League stands today, when a top caliby CornellFan - Other Sports

Cornell Basketball Recruiting - 17 years ago
Here is a breakdown of Cornell's on-going (public-reported only) basketball recruiting searches/commitments. This is by no means an official list, nor is it necessarily 100% accurate. This is what I've pieced together from various recruiting websites and in communicating with "those-in-the-know" by other means. I have not reported any recruiting efforts that have been kept out of theby CornellFan - Other Sports

Coach Donahue signed a long-term extension last year. In additon, Cornell is extremely geographically diverse and currently has several minority recruits on the team including: Jason Battle (North Carolina/African-American) Louis Dale (Alabama/African-American) Ugo Ihekweazu (Texas/African-American) Khaliq Gant (Georgia/African-American) Collin Robinson (California/African-America) Dby CornellFan - Other Sports
Cornell v. Iowa 12/30 (basketball) - 17 years ago
The game has been moved to 12:05 pm in order to avoid conflict with the Hawkeyes' Alamo Bowl game that evening. The Cornell-Iowa basketball game will be broadcast regionally on ESPN-- but I believe it can be picked up nationally on DIREC TV.by CornellFan - Other Sports
Revenue Sports? - 17 years ago
Is hockey really a revenue sport for Cornell? There is actually more money to be made in basketball-- that is, if the team improved. When will the University realize that the basketball team can do more for the school than the hockey team? (1) Newman Arena holds more than Lynah-- so if there was a demand for tickets, the University would make more cash from the basketball games. (Newman holby CornellFan - Other Sports
NCAA Tournament - 17 years ago
The Cornell program is headed for an Ivy League title. This year the team is 4-4, at first glance, not impressive at all. But in essence, the result is somewhat impressive. They lost three of games by a basket-- after controlling most of the game. Moreover, six of these games have been on the road-- and Cornell has been without injured players Khaliq Gant, Adam Gore, Jason Hartford, andby CornellFan - Other Sports
Re: Cornell Basketball - 17 years ago
You are right-- the Penn basketball fans are definitely trolls. But... I kind of like have an online community of fans from multiple schools, even if the arguing and debate sometimes gets out of hand. Have you guys heard about Cornell's newest recruiting commitment? Cornell has a verbal commitment from Aaron Richardson-Osgood. He's a 6-9 post player originally from Redmond, Washington aby CornellFan - Other Sports
Re: Cornell Basketball - 17 years ago
I don't really have any regular inside connections to the Cornell basketball program. I am just a really HUGE Cornell/college basketball fan who follows the team religiously. Ya know, the one guy on campus who would sell his Harvard hockey ticket and instead go watch Big Red basketball in an empty gym. If you want some recent basketball news... Cornell is one of three finalists to land 6-1 pby CornellFan - Other Sports

Re: The real bad news - 17 years ago
From the Ithaca Journal: Khaliq Gant, who suffered a serious neck injury back in January, is back on campus and attending all team functions. “Khaliq is in everything we do,” Head Coach Steve Donahue said. “He's at every practice, all the strength and conditioning sessions, team meetings. He's a tremendous leader and he's helping guys all the time.”by CornellFan - Other Sports

Championships fall '06? - 17 years ago
Are there any Cornell sports expected to bring home Ivy titles during the fall of 2006? Should Cornell expect to improve upon its nine Ivy titles from a year ago? Amazing that Cornell won nine championships last year and hockey was not one of them.by CornellFan - Other Sports
