This is what he did.. - 18 years ago
MSU disrespected our team by refusing to leave our ice after the game and made rude gestures towards the fans (and not to mention Nightingoon who slapshot a bottle into the crowd, but this was of course after our crowd turned stupid and threw those bottles onto the ice). Anyway, Schafer went over to the MSU team and here is where we have many different perspectives and versions of the story: 1by Oat - Hockey
He answered!! Yay!! - 18 years ago
Haha!! He answered my question! Look he said: First of all, I think they're a great asset to the ECACHL and I'm glad they represent us so well around the country. I think their program speaks for itself, as do the type of seasons they've been able to put together over the years. Obviously all that changes whenever we're playing them though! But to be honest, I love it when our home and homeby Oat - Hockey
Re: BE NICE to him... - 18 years ago
Oh no! That was a serious question. I wasn't being sarcastic. I sincerely want to hear his opinion on Cornell. Obviously he's going to say Cornell is a good team, but I am interested to see how he will approach that question. Is he the conceited type? Or a humble guy? Will he mention how much he hates Cornell fans? We will find out.by Oat - Hockey

Re: WANT TO GO BADLY!!!!! - 18 years ago
My housemates and I really really want to go to these games. But we're lazy procrastinating college students and we haven't bought the tickets yet. I checked last week and the athletic ticket office said that these games were sold out (at least from Cornell side). Could anyone please kindly help us find some tickets? I heard somewhere that these schools aren't really into their hockey teams, so tby Oat - Hockey

Re: Post Game cheer - 18 years ago
Another awesomely nasty chant I heard at the Ithaca game was "pump my gas" "pump my gas" At a Duke basketball game last year people were chanting "bag my groceries" that was pretty funny too.by Oat - Hockey

Re: MSU 4, Cornell 3 post-game (game 2) thread - 18 years ago
I don't think this is an average Cornell team. This is supposed to be *THE YEAR* to win it all. We were supposed to have 7 seniors. Unfortunately the NHL took away one of our bests. I did not see that coming at all and I just think that Schafer still hasn't found an answer to Hynes' departure..by Oat - Hockey

I think if it would be good if everyone just boo them when they have the puck, cheer and scream really loudly and obnoxiously when we clear the zone.by Oat - Hockey
Post Game cheer - 18 years ago
No one was there to lead us today after time expired (or maybe someone did? and I missed it?) If we can't do "Which team is the winning team..." the cheer should be: Which school is an ivy league? (This school is an ivy league) --> Which school is a safety school? <-- (This school is a safety school) (ivy league) --> <-- (safety school) We used to do thisby Oat - Hockey

Re: Feola sucks like Hansen - 18 years ago
Alright, so now i'm a bit calmer and more composed... I will admit that most of the calls against us tonight were legit. But i am still tremendously pissed off that MSU got away with worst things than what our guys did. Feola was an incompetent anti-christ idiot whose fault costed us that game.by Oat - Hockey
Re: Feola sucks like Hansen - 18 years ago
Dell sucks but at least he is fair. Dell is like Murphy, when he sucks, he sucks equally for both teams and he sucks in every rink. At least there's consistency there. Hansen and Feola are just terrible at life. Hansen intentionally makes really harsh calls against Cornell to try to demonstrate the ECAC league that he is not afraid of the Lynah crowd. Feola was just born without peripheral visioby Oat - Hockey
Feola sucks like Hansen - 18 years ago
The last time officiating was this bad was two years ago in a game against dirty Colgate. Referee Hansen really got to me and I just wanted to kick his ass (Does anybody else remember this game?). I don't even want to go into details about it. But tonight, from 2nd period on, Feola definitely won the game for Michigan State. I am even more disappointed that our crowd threw bottles onto the rinby Oat - Hockey

HAha!!! I saw that. I thought the puck was going in for sure. I don't know if it should be called a "good save" because there was tremendous luck involved there.by Oat - Hockey
SECTION A & B = SO GOOD - 18 years ago
I loved section B tonight! Everyone was so loud and active and creatively rude to MSU players. I would say this crowd was louder than last year. The intensity and the amount of energy. Maybe it was the nature of the game (fast-paced, physical, and evenly-matched against a really good team). Anyway, the volume was really good. Now we need to work on rhythm. We're chanting everything too friggin faby Oat - Hockey

Vicari's pads - 18 years ago
My friends from Michigan have reported that Vicari's pads are in no way NCAA legal. He said that they come up the nipples and they make his legs look 5 times fatter, haha. Maybe we'll be able to see this dirtiness in the webcast.by Oat - Hockey
Wake up Section B - 18 years ago
Section B was very quiet and tired Friday night. We had a lot of new people there this year. Not only did these people have no clue what the hell was going on, but they also simply didn't try or didn't care. For the majority of the first two periods, section B stood silently. It was pretty sad. In the first and third period where there was a faceoff on our side, people didn't even put their armsby Oat - Hockey
Re: Michigan Yost Rink - 18 years ago
Some people say that Yost Rink at Michigan is worst than Lynah. But my friends at Michigan even shamelessly admit that they steal chants from us. Other people at Michigan, however, falsely believe the opposite. They brainwashed themselves into believing that we stole all the traditions from them. They try to be as heckling in their cheering practice and spirit as we are.by Oat - Hockey
