Re: Cornell-UNH Postgame Thread - 17 years ago
They're #2 in the nation? What a joke. BU is also way overrated. I hate the poll this year.by Oat - Hockey
Re: Higher Glass in Lynah - 17 years ago
Aw. Now I can't yell at the opposing team and tell them how much I hate them.by Oat - Hockey

Re: Crowd - 17 years ago
Jim HylaAbout the crowd, I think you can give them some slack considering that the team looked so much better than Union. It's hard to keep up a lot of intensity when you are blowing the team away. I'm just glad that the team could keep up their intensity; we didn't need the fans today I'll keep saying this until we get it right. we're chanting everything too fast. billhowardWhether Scrivens is really that good, it ought to make other treams nervouse about ouir goaltending depth again. He is THAT GOOD.by Oat - Hockey
Re: Cornell 3 RPI 3 Post-game Thread - 17 years ago
Agreed. I have actually always preferred Scriven in the net. I think Scriven is a better shot stopper but I have to admit, he makes some funny decisions from time to time (passing the puck when he should have held on, leaving the crease at the wrong moments, hesitating etc.). He just needs more time on the ice, so he can accumulate experience and make better judgments.by Oat - Hockey
Big Red Penalty Kill Problem - 17 years ago
I have not seen our team successfully kill off one single 5x3 situation yet this year. Everytime a 5x3 comes up against us, I would put my money down and bet against our team every time. Our PK just can't do it. Ok, done with my rant of the day.by Oat - Hockey
Re: price of tickets keep going up !!!!! - 17 years ago
If I get screwed in the hockey stampede system this year, I will pay my life (and more) to get into the games. ..which is more likely to happen because I am a grad student now.by Oat - Hockey
Re: Cornell Community Bulletin Board 2006-07 - 17 years ago
No it is different. My project is tailored for Cornell students (and employees). We don't want to wade through heaps or irrelevant Ithaca stuff. A lot of townies use craigslist and they don't want to wade through irrelevant Denice Cassaro announcements and students' posts either. Forexample: "I lost a watch on North Campus today. It's a black timex. If found, please blah blah blah.&by Oat - John Spencer Is Dead

I will pay any amount to go to hockey games! I'm sure a lot of other people have the same mentality! Guys, what does that lead to?by Oat - Hockey
Re: Cornell Community Bulletin Board 2006-07 - 17 years ago
I'm hoping it will replace Denice Cassaro's listserv, Housing Solutions website (which charges an arm and a leg), willard straight announcement board (which nobody reads)... Any suggestions?by Oat - John Spencer Is Dead

Alright guys, I'm not worried one bit! We're gonna beat union in the ECAC final this year and then sweep the NCAA tournament shutting out every single opponent.by Oat - Hockey

Re: Gleed's case - 18 years ago
As for Gleed, he was in the correct position for the 4x4 special team. He was right in front of the net, very focused, and watching the puck (a good thing to do if you're playing hockey). He was not looking where Skille was. Skille did not give him any time to challenge the lucky one-timer. Gleed did everything he could have done.by Oat - Hockey
Re: Whose fault was that? - 18 years ago
Al DeFlorioDeltaOne81We weren't really out of position though, which is what I thought. There was a Cornell guy there (didn't notice who) covering Skille, but it was just a perfect no/little-look, tape-to-tape pass. I think it was Gleed near Skille. The whole sequence would be near impossible to duplicate. The pass to Skille was a one-timer backhand of a puck coming off the boards precisely onby Oat - Hockey

Re: POST GAME CORNELL 3-2 COLORADO COLLEGE - 18 years ago
RedARThanks Drew. Unfortunately, RichS probably had a coronary tonight as Cornell chipped away at the 2 goal deficit. To you Richs, FUCK YOU! I find this to be a bit too personal.. but I can certainly understand your point of view and see where this is coming from.by Oat - Hockey

Re: Leggio was a big baby - 18 years ago
DrewYes and McKee reciprocated with a big hug, and before you call him a baby let's remember the kid played in 2 double OT losses..Do I condone it? No not even close. But I won't kill the kid. YESSSSSSS, he played really really well. Too bad it ended in an ugly explosion from the tremendous dedication and effort he has put in for his team. We can only hope that Mckee will save half as many shby Oat - Hockey

Yes! Like when we killed off the 5-minute Clarkson powerplay in OT on Saturday.by Oat - Hockey
Re: Bleachers? - 18 years ago
Will It wasn't bleachers, but rather the upper tier of the arena. It still wasn't a terrible view of the action, though. Yes it was. They put me up there and I couldn't see the puck. I had to sneak into the lower section.by Oat - Hockey
Re: were they chanting? - 18 years ago
That chant was way too fast and it didn't really sound like anything that could make sense.by Oat - Hockey
Leggio was a big baby - 18 years ago
My favorite moment of the weekend was when Leggio freaked out and nearly killed himself after Moulson scored. Grenzie went berserk too. These monkeys were so outwardly angry, banging their sticks everywhere and just going crazy George Roll style. The more upset they were, the happier I became. Did anyone get a video clip of that (also of George Roll throwing the clipboard like a five year-old)? Pby Oat - Hockey
