Re: Dartmouth Post-game - 15 years ago
CowbellGuyRonald '094) Brendan Nash's play in his own zone is lacking. He is the weakest of our defensemen positionally. In the offensive zone, too many of his point shots either hit glass or the opposing players in the knees. I would say he has been a disappointment overall through 6 games. It's easy to find a few problems with the guy when he's on pretty much every other shift and almost aby Dpperk29 - Hockey

Re: Continuing section G saga - 15 years ago
sah67For those who still have any interest in the standing vs. sitting issue in Section G: even after the supposed resolution via Email from Athletics, there were a few students who started to stand at the bottom of G tonight right after Devin tied it in the 3rd. The female usher who hadn't looked to happy be there at any point during the game quickly came down the steps to get them to sit, buby Dpperk29 - Hockey
Re: Shots discrepency - 15 years ago
Give My RegardsJosh '99Lynah's staff are ready to clean the fish up and do so, without fail, by the time the game is ready to start. (They're sure to do so because they know that Cornell can be penalized if it doesn't get done in time.) Starr's rink staff apparently were not similarly prepared; perhaps a delay of game penalty would motivate them to be ready in the future. The general sequenceby Dpperk29 - Hockey

ebilmesDoug '08Am I remembering this right, or isn't Colgate the wacky rink that records "saves" and not "shots" on the scoreboard? Perhaps that could have caused some of the confusion... always pissed me off, ALMOST as much as the big red chewing gum and free pizza give aways. Re: "Welcome Back, Coach Schafer" - 15 years ago
OatDpperk29After watching the Princeton game on TV friday, I would wager that the current Cornell team has much more talent than the 2005 team did. Hahaha, no way man. Not even close. You don't even have to watch the Princeton game to see which roster is stronger (2008 or 2005). Lots of recruits never materialize into anything, lots of draft picks never end up doing anything. Re: Tickets for Thursday @ Colgate - 15 years ago
imafrshmnFor those who want to go and haven't gotten a ticket, this is just a reminder that Colgate's ticket office is going to sell off the remaining seats on Tuesday. Let me also say to any students out there reading this who are pretty big fans but haven't ever experienced a road trip that this is the perfect place to start. It's the shortest trip on the schedule, and you'll get to see (bby Dpperk29 - Hockey
Re: "Welcome Back, Coach Schafer" - 15 years ago
I remember one game early in 2005 when Charlie Cook shot straight into someone blocking a shot on the power play that bounced off the blocker and behind cook, and but for a lucky bounce, would have been a break away. Schafer sat Cook for the rest of the period, and kept him off the PP for the rest of the game. I think he put either Gleed or Downs in for him on the PP. I didn't see Cook make aby Dpperk29 - Hockey

I talked to the ticket office. They gave us 2 choices. There are plenty of seats left in E for all of us standers to stand with the undergrads and we can easily exchange our seats for the E ones. Re: jersey - 15 years ago
CowbellGuyI'm guessing you lucked into a Cam Abbott at best, or possibly even a Wieckowski that was left over. Riley's was gone within an hour of them becoming available. Check for the jersey's brand and location to figure out what year it's from. Wasn't Riley a freshman last year, meaning they wouldn't have sold any of his jersey's last season?by Dpperk29 - Hockey
Re: Very RUDE and Ignorant Fans! - 15 years ago
ebilmes I see no reason why this can't be resolved reasonably. some people are stubborn, that could be a problem. Personally, if I was told that my upper row seats in G were being switched to lower rows, I would refuse it. when you are a townie, and you buy a season ticket, you expect to do what the vast majority of people who watch sporting events in this country do (sitting). Re: Very RUDE and Ignorant Fans! - 15 years ago
TrotskySwap. Stand in the back, sit in the front. I think that is a bad idea. I know a lot of townies who specifically have seats in the top three rows because they have trouble with the stairs. Others with upper row seats have them because we like to see the play flow, which you cannot do as well from lower seats. I would wager that the back of the ticket says something to the effect of tby Dpperk29 - Hockey
Re: CHN article on Milo - 15 years ago
ugartebillhowardAre we reading the same article? Milo has mastered the art of someone years older in saying very little and sounding as if he's confiding.
