I believe a lot of the credit goes to Ben Syer. It's since his arrival that the recruiting has changed. Hopefully he sticks around awhile, but my gut says there is a head coaching opportunity coming his way in the near future.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

After the roof got blown off last night, a bunch of us were sitting around reminiscing about other times when Lynah erupted. My personal favorite is the reaction to the Varteresian/Nickerson brawlby Cop at Lynah - Hockey
Re: Cornell football 2017 - 6 years ago
The sad part of this whole saga is that the young men on the team deserve better. They bust their asses out there but systematically they have no chance. I have no direct affiliation with the football program, but I do remember the days when Cornell was competitive in the Ivy League. It can be done, but it has to start at the top (AD)by Cop at Lynah - Other Sports

Interesting quote from Martha Pollack the new President of CU: We both love music, especially classical and jazz, so we hope to attend the Cornell Concert Series and some of the student performances, and we’re basketball fans, so look for us at some of the men’s and women’s basketball games.by Cop at Lynah - Other Sports

The golf course. It's a shame what has become of it. Can't really fault the Head Pro or the Head Grounds Keeper, the damage has mainly been due to lack of financial resources allocated to adequately care for the course. The grounds crew has been reduced to 8 people or so, and some of them are college kids that can only work from late May to Early August. Re: Rankings - 7 years ago
The battle for at an large berth for the NCAA's is, at minimum, limited to the 14th place and above in Pairwise rankings. The AQ from Atlantic Hockey league and WHCA are going to take 15th and 16th seeds, as none of their teams are currently inside the top 16 . If there is some really weird upset champion in any other conference tournament it will be an even slimmer opening. Need to sweep theby Cop at Lynah - Hockey

This is just the latest example of the Athletics admin trying to make up for lost revenue caused by their own greed/policies. If the ticket prices were brought back down to market rate then there wouldn't be any dam tickets (empty seats) to sell in the first place.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

Re: Season tickets - 8 years ago
They'r getting desperate now by offering a split season ticket package. Going to be awful difficult for the athletic department to handle the loss of revenue . Is this the result of high ticket prices and the atmosphere that has been created over the past few years or have people just lost interest in the program ?by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

This upcoming season will see the team play in front of some of the smallest crowds in recent memory. It has more to do with the cost of tickets and the sterile atmosphere of Lynah than it does with the team.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey
Re: Will a new president bring any changes in the athletic dept? - 8 years ago
The masterplan for the replacement of the west stands consists of a multi-use structure to house athletics offices as well as new stands. Unless they get a multi million dollar donation, don't expect anything anytime soon.by Cop at Lynah - Other Sports
