Re: Lacrosse-Rob Pannell Status - 12 years ago
I can't remember where I heard it - but it was said that they were looking to have Rob on the field for a few minutes during the Brown game and if he came out of it o.k. then he would be a go for the Princeton game and beyond.by Cop at Lynah - Other Sports

Great finish to the CC - Minnestota game. Minnesota tied it up with a little over a minute to go with agoal with the goalie pulled then CC answered with 36 seconds remaining for a 2-1 win.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

Great save by Iles on the last Dartmouth power play - stayed upright and had great anticipation to make the save of the game when Cornell needed it the most.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

Out of poistion alot tonight - reverting back to the flopping around on his stomach. D-men saved two sure goals for him - not a good night for Andy through 2 periods. He needs to be the difference in the 3rd for CU to hold on.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

Re: lles is not the answer - 12 years ago
As the starter of this thread I have to say I was very impressed with Andy on Saturday night. He was the difference in the first period. I'm also unbiased enough to recognoze his improvement. Only once in Saturday's game did I scratch my head at him going down to his stomach while the puck was still in play. Other than that one brief moment he postioned himself well and kept himself in the plby Cop at Lynah - Hockey
Re: cornell 6 - yale 2 - 12 years ago
Pretty solid performance. We could skate with Yale and for the most part CU's effort was far superior. The freshman were everywhere and figured into 5 of the 6 goals totalling 7 points on the nights scoring. It was nice to see Cornell survivie the first 10 minutes when they were all over us. The key to the game was the quick left pad save ILes made about 5 minutes in. The final 50 minutes weby Cop at Lynah - Hockey

I'm not saying Andy can't/won't be damn good....I was just disapponited in seeing him display the same awkwardness last night that drove me crazy last year. What I'm referring to is Andys' ability to control rebounds and prevent the second/third shots from beating him when he is on his belly and out of the play. Andy's reputation tells me that if he remains technically sound he will be one ofby Cop at Lynah - Hockey
lles is not the answer - 12 years ago
After watching tonight's exhibition game, it is obvious that lles is not the answer in goal. It is frustrating as hell to watch him belly flop all over the crease leaving the entire top side wide open on rebounds. I was hoping to see improvement from his freshman year. I know it's only one exhibition game but from what I saw tonight the same erratic play that Andy displayed all of last year isby Cop at Lynah - Hockey

The new building will be built on the slab that the current garage sits upon. The current slab is much larger than the garage itself. The ground floor of the new building will house the maintenance garage and the upper floor will house the band(s).by Cop at Lynah - Other Sports

Re: Harvard at Cornell postgame - 14 years ago
We can only hope Schafer sits B. Nash for a game or two. That penalty after the horn at the end of the second was just BS on his part and those kind of things hurt the team. Krueger and Ross were absolutely brutal as a tandem, some ill advised pinching and lack of foot speed to get back in the play. Offense is very dynamic. Riley Nash was a man among boys out there tonight. Harvard wby Cop at Lynah - Hockey

Re: Fond retirement wishes to Dave Nulle - 14 years ago
As part of the contract between the University and the employees who chose to take the early retirement, the employees can still be employed by at the University as a part time employee (20 hrs/wk with no benefits). So there is a way for Dave to still be around on game nights to do the ice, but I seriously doubt that the athletics dept will hire back any of the employees who left.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey
Athletics eliminates admin for all atlhetic teams except football - 15 years ago
The Atletics department has eliminated all admin staff for all athletic programs except for the football program. What this means for the hockey program is that Sue Detzer's job was eliminated in the hockey office. It is such a shame that the powers that be do not realize what Sue meant to the program. She was always there to handle ticket requests, manage the coaches luncheon, coordinateby Cop at Lynah - Hockey

As a parent of a youth hockey player who was sent to a regional trauma center as a result of a hit from behind, I'm all for calling the hit from behind as it is written in the rule book. My son and our family are well aware of the risk of injury while playing the sport of hockey, but that does not make it any less scary when one of your own is lying on the ice with no feeling in his/her extremitby Cop at Lynah - Hockey
