Ian Burt played one year for the Coventry Blaze, then retired, according to the Blaze web site. Scroll to the very bottom of the page. The Cornell alumni directory has him living in Michigan (and still working for the Coventry Blaze).by David Harding - Hockey

Re: GameTracker working - 17 years ago
Al DeFlorioDavid HardingBy the way, at least GameTracker is working. Except it thinks the last play was Albany's extra point. Got the 23-21 score right, however. The various parts are never perfectly synchronized. And the first item in the scoring summary has Cornell kicking a field goal to make the score 10-0 I take that back. Now it's right.by David Harding - Other Sports

Re: Jack Johnson Traded - 17 years ago
Long story with Berenson interview. Not only does Johnson love to play, but he loves to play for Michigan, something he made clear to Lombardi in a phone conversation after the deal was completed. "I talked to him after the trade," Lombardi said, "and I just asked him: is that his wish, to stay in school? He said yes, and I have no problem with that, and I actually thinkby David Harding - Hockey

Re: Habs To Retire Dryden's Number - 17 years ago
Just think how efficient it could be. Retire one number and honor three or four players at once. Though I don't know what you would do if you later decided you wanted to honor some other goalie who had worn 30.by David Harding - Hockey
Re: sprint football in the NYTimes - 17 years ago
My interest has been piqued. My 1972 yearbook lists the schedule as Navy, Rutgers, Penn, Army, Columbia, and Princeton, and they called it "Lightweight Football." A 4-2 record waas good for 3rd in the Eastern League. A Princeton web page ( ) lists the original (1934) league members as Cornell, Lafayette, Pennsylvania, Princeton, Rutgers, Villanova and Yale. Re: Mel Kiper on Kevin Boothe - 17 years ago
Kevin saw a little action on Sunday. The San Franciso Chronicle wasn't enthusiastic about the Raiders. Coaching: D Everyone knew the Chargers were going to hand off to Tomlinson all night, yet the Raiders couldn't come up with preventive measures that worked until the third quarter. But at least they made adjustments. Offensive coordinator Tom Walsh used some imagination in an effort to sby David Harding - Other Sports

Re: New Lynah Photo Slideshow - 17 years ago
It is very reassuring to see ice! I hadn't grasped that the tunnel emptied into the Cornell bench. Does that means the visitors use the old locker rooms at the west end? If they haven't done anything to the old lockers yet, all the teams could keep using them until the new ones are ready. I'd wager that the premium/box seating shown in the first photo consists of two rows of chairs. Has anby David Harding - Hockey

Speaking of websites, I just clicked on the men's ice hockey schedule/results and found a page titled 2005 - 06 Men's Ice Hockey Tentative Schedule and Results! Here's a link to last year's NCAA transfer guide. Page 18. It says that going from a 4-year school to a 4-year school you sit out a year unless you meet one of the exemptions. The main exemption is for your first transfer. To use it, you can't be playing basketball in D1, football in D1-A, or men's ice hockey in D1; you must be in good academic standing and making progress toward a degreeby David Harding - Other Sports
