Re: Men's Track Rises to #19 Ranking - 11 years ago
billhoward It is. Especially given the limited weeks of warm weather the team has. Meanwhile, it's intriguing to see CornellBigRed headlines such as "No. 61 MTennis visits Bucknell."Don't really need that much warm weather for track. You train all year round anyway. peterg There's a lot of value - and locker room respect - for a player who sticks up for his teammates and is all about winning, even if it means taking a penalty. A lot less value for a guy who takes penalties in the offensive zone while on a power play. His penalties aren't just of the sticking up for teammates variety. A significant amount are of the so stupid you're being cut from the ECHL vaby css228 - Hockey

CowbellGuy Ben & carpy85 Wah wah wah. Based on your wealth of knowledge from time spent in the locker room, playing, practicing, and traveling with the team? Don't forget, the players vote on captains. Re: Quarterfinal rooting interests - 11 years ago
Chris '03 There are a few ways to look at rooting interests for this weekend: 1. What give CU the best path to an ECAC title. 2. What gives CU the best (outside) shot at an at large bid. (mess around with that here: ) 3. What gives the ECAC the best shot at 3-4 teams in. Most frustrating for both 2 and 3 is that Dartmouth (19) and Union (16) can't both win or lose this weekend. Ben TrotskyPlayers are not Strat-O-Matic cards without memory, and improvement (or deterioration) in performance over sub-intervals within a season are not fictions. Claiming a streak persists from one season to the next is silly. If players' memory matters, then the second statement doesn't follow. Trotsky css228Yes, but I think we can all agree that for a team this talented, a bottom four finish was flat out unacceptable.
