jtwcornell91 css228 Philly is pretty, unless youre only talking about the sports complex.I'm very biased though. What about a place like Rochester? Much as I'd love for the ECACs to be held a half-mile from my house, Rochester 1) is West of the entire league and 2) has been hosting the Atlantic Hockey finals every year for a while now. Good point. Didn't think about those. I'd love Philly becauby css228 - Hockey

Trotsky judyIf that's what the league is thinking, I think that they should give us nice welcome goody bags filled with whatever crack they're smoking when we show up for the games. If they want to hold the tourny at some locale that just outside of the "boundries", I vote for DC or Philly. But then, DC had the squeakball tourny this weekend. Stupid squeakball. Nope Penn's rink is way too small so Philly is out. Shame though because it is the perfect city otherwise... Anyone want to put a temporary rink in the Palestra?by css228 - Hockey

judy billhoward dragonday92 is not accessible to most of the fans and it's not the draw as a destination that fans either wanted or could afford. It's possible the ECAC in its mind transferred the popularity of the Frozen Four and its year-in-advance sellouts to the ECAC finals even though that was not the case in Albany (geographical center of the ECAC) or Lake Placid (a spiritual center for USby css228 - Hockey
Re: Goalie Choice for Atlantic City - 13 years ago
Besides its a conditioning thing. Iles and Garman have been platooning all season. Rondeau hasn't. He's been the man all season. So as a runner I know the more you run the more you can run in the future. Probably similar for goalies and enduranceby css228 - Hockey

Re: Big Ten Hockey Conference - 13 years ago
RatushnyFan You mean in Ontario, Saskatoon, British Columbia, Massachusetts, etc.? @Josh - I take your point, a strong Penn State team is nice to have, but what if we've permanently weakened Miami, Western Michigan, BGSU (struggling mightily already), Ferris State, Lake Superior? My gut tells me that the remaining MN, ND and CO teams in the WCHA will fair better but losing the U of Minnesotby css228 - Hockey

Also What about recruiting? Won't a major university in our backyard (3-4 hours away tops compared to all other non ECAC schools that aren't in the AHA being more like 6 hours) affect our recruiting somewhat?by css228 - Hockey
Re: Big Ten Hockey Conference - 13 years ago
@ajh258 I was only saying to do that if the ECAC changes at all, which I'm not sure it needs to.by css228 - Hockey

Scersk '97 Re-form the old ECAC (or perhaps ECAC+) as a promotion/relegation two- (three-? four-?) division league. Get the top division a steady TV contract and throw the bottom (2? 3?) divisions a few televised game bones every year. Then there would be something in the east that would generate enough excitement to balance a BTHC. (I.e., who wants to watch yet another game between BC and UNHby css228 - Hockey

I'm taking things one step at a time. I'd love a national championship, but I seriously doubt that this team will be the one with the best chance of winning it all in my four years on the hill.by css228 - Hockey

Trotsky One of the most humorous aspects of Cornell is how people from A&S and Engineering each have a delusional superiority complex. (Particularly since it's the Ag School that rocks.) Hey I'm in A&S and I don't think we're any better than Ag or ILR or Hum Ec. I can't really comment of AA&P and Hotel though because those schools are just so completely different than every other pby css228 - Hockey
Re: 2011 ECAC Post-season - Colgate wins - 13 years ago
billhoward ithacat Trotsky billhoward Colgate scores in the second OT and wins 2-1. So Cornell hosts Quinnipiac starting Friday. That's better than playing host to RPI. Hard to believe a team with as much talent as the Engineers couldn't make it to the ECAC round of 8.Though careful what you wish for. Quinnipiac destroyed the Brown team that beat us. ...and the last time Cornell was a #4 seedby css228 - Hockey

Look, I'm a current student here and here's my take on it. Before the game fish... go ahead. IF YOU THROW DURING THE GAME ANYTHING OTHER THAN HATS IN THE EVENT OF A HAT TRICK THE LYNAH FAITHFUL SHOULD KICK YOU OUT THEMSELVES. I have not tolerance for the idiocy that forces our team to play a man down even when our PK Unit has been as good as it has all season.Throwing fish before the game is a grby css228 - Hockey
