If you believe the Niagara announcers, Cornell is actually the team they were two years ago.by mnagowski - Hockey

Re: Cornell v. Duke Basketball on TV - 16 years ago
Jim HylaWhen I checked that link it says Niagara at CU. That's a replay as they are doing Sat's game. ESPNU is showing Clarkson Sun 1/20. Yeah. My bad. I meant Niagara. CornellFan The Cornell-Duke game should be televised in Buffalo, New York on Time Warner on Channel 149 (Fox College Sports Atlantic). Re: Cornell v. Duke Basketball on TV - 16 years ago
Yeah. It looks like it will be on FSNY and NESN, but not on any Time Warner package in Upstate New York. And a lot of the bars around here don't seem to get satellite. This is actually a hockey topic, but since this thread already exists: Oddly, Time Warner cable is saying that Sunday afternoon will feature Cornell v. Clarkson. Do you think this is a tape delay? It doesn't say so... I'by mnagowski - Other Sports

Re: Stony Brook/Quinnipiac/UPenn Hoops - 16 years ago
Anybody watching the game? The refs seem a little bit whistle happy. Quinnipiac seems to be doing a pretty good job shutting down the 3-pointers, but the Red are performing admirably inside.by mnagowski - Other Sports

Re: Cornell Hoops loses big at Bucknell - 16 years ago
It's on Time Warner Cable here in Buffalo. I imagine it was broadcast all over Upstate. There was just a really nice post-game interview with Donahue. He downplayed Cornell as the pre-season Ivy League favorite and the need for the team to improve its half-court play. All in all, the team didn't look bad. They certainly looked more composed than when I saw them play at Harvard last year. Louisby mnagowski - Other Sports
Re: Cornell Hoops loses big at Bucknell - 16 years ago
Anybody else watching the Syracuse game tonight? The defense hasn't looked awful in the second-half, and suddenly the Big Red is only down by 13. The offense, on the other hand, hasn't been looking so good. Missing three-pointers all over the place, and Jeff Foote has tripped under his own two feet a couple of time trying to get his own rebound. This could be a closer game.by mnagowski - Other Sports

Cornell v. Duke Basketball on TV - 16 years ago
The Cornell Club of Buffalo is thinking of hosting a viewing party for the Cornell-Duke basketball game in early January. But before we secure a locale to watch the game, I was hoping to get a sense of whether or not the game will actually be shown in our area and what to ask of the bar/restaurant to determine whether viewing the game will actually be possible. Cornellbigred.com claims that the gby mnagowski - Other Sports

Re: Cornell-RIT postgame - 16 years ago
I think one of the problems is that it is pretty difficult to start a *new* cheer without the band backing you up. The last two years I have been pretty successful with chants of 'Blue Blood' and 'Silver Spoon' with the Cornell@Harvad games (and hope to be this year as well), but I always found it very difficult to start new cheers at Lynah, especially a new generic cheer. Maybe we can look toby mnagowski - Hockey

Free audio would be really nice again. I can remember many of a paper written at Cornell on a Friday night whilst listening to the broadcast of the hockey game on a radio stream of WVBR.by mnagowski - Hockey
Re: Cornell-RIT postgame - 16 years ago
I was able to bring a mix of seven from Buffalo--recent alums and siblings/cousins. I was pleased with the turnout of Rochester alumni, wish more Buffalo alums would have made the trip, but I was disappointed with the student section. It's only a 90 minute drive after all. I suspect a lot of student's don't realize how good the RIT hockey program has gotten. Plus it was the first regular season gby mnagowski - Hockey

I had no trouble getting the game in Internet Explorer through a 10mpbs wireless connection. No strobing or any other issues for the duration of the game, except for some programming issues during halftime. Not so much luck with Firefox.by mnagowski - Other Sports

Job Opening -- Marketing and Ticket Sales Coordinator - 16 years ago
I came across this listing while perusing through Cornell's jobs directory. I know that there is sometimes a little bit of criticism on this board about the quality of Cornell's marketing/ticket sales. This might be eLynah's chance to change it... Going by the RPI: #1 Cornell has had to play a #14 and a #4 team. #2 Duke has had to play a #44 and a #7 team. #3 JHU has had to play a #11 and a #6 team. and #12 Delaware has had to beat a #5 and a #13.by mnagowski - Other Sports
