1) It seems like over the last few years we've seen a number of high profile recruits decommit, often more than a year after announcing their commitment to Cornell. Are you seeing a pattern or a change in how financial aid / admissions / competition work that is causing this change? What are you able to do to combat those issues? 2) Related, we've also seen shifts where in the mid 2000s classeby pfibiger - Hockey

Ben Scrivens named Player of the Week in the last week of December: – Best goaltender was Ben Scrivens (Dinamo Minsk), with three wins in three road matches, shutting out the opposition twice and allowing just a single goal all week. The 30-year-old Canadian recorded a save percentage of 98.97 and a goals against average of 0.33 –the best individual figures in both categories;by pfibiger - Hockey

Re: Streaming of the ILDN - 7 years ago
Trotsky I'm sorry for the dumb question, but what do people use Roku for? I can stream on my computer, and if I want the larger screen I can directly cable to the TV. Does this give higher resolution or extra features, like being able to dump the feed to TiVo and watch later? I'm not being deliberately dense or, for once, Luddite. I just don't get what it's for. So I find it annoying toby pfibiger - Hockey

Al DeFlorio Interesting not one word pre-season about the two highly-touted freshmen, QB Harley Kirsch and RB Harold Coles. Al, According to this thread: Kirsch missed the whole preseason with some kind of injury and is just now cleared to practice.by pfibiger - Other Sports

This is a great interview with Morris: I thought this was the most interesting part: CHN: Having been away from the college game, and obviously the sport has evolved with the Big Ten and other factors, but what do you see as the biggest changes in college hockey since you left Clarkson? toddlose Thought I saw kasdorf has one more year of eligibility? I may be wrong but swore I saw it somewhere. Unless I missed him signing. I believe he missed almost an entire year, so he's possibly coming back for a post-grad year with a medical redshirt. It's not a done deal though.by pfibiger - Hockey

scoop85 Trotsky Schafer still out, Wow, that must have been a bad impact. Luc Lalor (Loller, not La-Lore) debut tonight. Otterman's the only one left, Given that Otterman's playing lacrosse, I think we'll be waiting awhile for his debut on the ice. I thought Otterman gave up lacrosse to play hockey. He's on the current roster, isn't he?by pfibiger - Hockey

Ken Schott picks us 9th (http://www.dailygazette.com/weblogs/schott/2015/oct/02/ecac-hockey-2015-16-team-previews-cornell/). Little bit of zen/nothingness from Schafer in the article: Schafer says: “Our outlook is unknown. RichH Official announcement for the incoming Freshman class: 9 additions: 5 Forwards, 4 Defensemen. Two were drafted in 2014 (Angelo, PIT 5th Round, 145 overall; Starrett CHI 3rd Round, 88 overall). Some nice words on some incoming recruits from: Sam Sternschein, RW, 6-1/180, Tri-City Storm (Hockey Essentials White) - He was the best player on the ice all weekend for this observer's money. He was my ninth-ranked forward at last summer's Select 16s, but he was even better this weekend. He's continued to develop, get stronger and use his power to his advantage. He has an explosive firsby pfibiger - Hockey

We've spent a lot of time talking about whether Schafer is/should be on the hot seat -- do we think any ECAC coaches are going to leave their posts this year? Seth Appert kept getting contract extensions, and is under contract 'til 2021. Fogarty is brand new at Princeton. How warm is Whittet's seat at Brown? Casey at Clarkson? Will we see any assistant turnover?by pfibiger - Hockey
