Beanpot - 13 years ago
Holy Crap! I just looked at the USCHO scoreboard and Harvard won. And this despite being outshot 49-29 and going 0-4 on the PP while BU went 3-6. Did Millan drink too much before the game or something?by cth95 - Hockey

I will be totally psyched if Moulson comes to the Bruins. I was really bummed when Bitz left.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Canadian Reality TV - Battle of the Blades - 13 years ago
I agree with living in Canada vs. living in Potsdam, but living about halfway between Burlington and Middlebury is pretty nice.by cth95 - John Spencer Is Dead
Re: Canadian Reality TV - Battle of the Blades - 13 years ago
You don't have to quite cross the border. We get Canadian TV here in northern VT, and I know they get it in the North Country (NY), too.by cth95 - John Spencer Is Dead
Re: Riley May Be Traded - 13 years ago
I would love to see him go to the Bruins. I was really bummed to see Bitz go, Anywhere would be better than Montreal, though. I already have to root against O'Byrne. I would hate to have to root against two Cornellians.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Computer Use and Comfort survey - 14 years ago
One thing that I think I find important that is not on your survey is the height of the chair relative to the desk and computer.by cth95 - John Spencer Is Dead

Rita Matt Moulson is guest host on The Daily Line, now on Versus. (now = Wed 4.28) I thought I recognized that guest commentator! What a game. It reminded me of another team I think some of us have seen: score a couple opportunistic goals, bend but don't break and hang on for dear life with great defense and goaltending. I can't believe I was rooting for the Habs, but now the B's haveby cth95 - Hockey

KeithK cth95 To answer the thread topic: zero That's ;ike sayign what are the odds that Duke wins the squeakball tournament. 100% after the fact. That was my point. The question was still there, and now we know the answer. I guess I could have added this:by cth95 - Other Sports

Re: Now that our season is over... - 14 years ago
mnagowski It's striking that you are pointing to Massachusetts as a model for the country to follow considering that Obamacare is essentially following Massachusetts's model. I am referring to MA solely to emphasize the need for competition of private industries. The companies in MA run more efficiently and provide better customer service than those in Vermont where overbearing regulatiby cth95 - Other Sports

I feel that I am in the middle of most of you guys politically. I can almost always see good and bad points to any Republican or Democratic proposals. Normally, if my choice doesn't win an election, I am bummed but I don't worry too much. There are usually enough checks and balances and every candidate is usually moderate enough that nothing is done too far out of line for me. For the firstby cth95 - Other Sports
Re: Albany Roll Call II: Electric Boogaloo (NCAA Regionals) - 14 years ago
sockralex I am very hopeful that by marrying a fellow Lynah Faithful I can avoid this problem. We celebrated our engagement on Saturday by seeing Cornell get the ECAC Championship. Doesn't get much better than that! Congratulations on the engagement. Actually, my wife has been great. She has been really impressed with the Faithful and does enjoy going to the games. She is actually a UHNby cth95 - Hockey
Re: Albany Roll Call II: Electric Boogaloo (NCAA Regionals) - 14 years ago
So far I have been unsuccessful in talking my wife into the fact that it will be now problem to bring a 3 1/2 week old baby. She also isn't too keen on me going with a few friends even if I drive back home Friday night and only go back Saturday if they win. I still think we should take our new daughter to see her first game. She was at the BU game, but she had an obstructed view seat.by cth95 - Hockey

Great job guys! I actually like this logo the best, but I didn't know you would end up getting access to it. It is amazing how this took off.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Odds that Donahue stays? - 14 years ago
yankeelobo My post was as well, it also had a smiley face. I don't understand the love for Ithaca though. I spent 4 years there and me and most of my friends would not want to endure another winter in upstate New York. Personal preference I guess! Thanks for the equally descriptive response The problem with Ithaca is that it is not cold enough. Central NY is also too cloudy from Octoberby cth95 - Other Sports

YankeeLobo Re: Donahue, I think it's a moot point anyway. I'm not a huge fan of Alford, but most UNM fans are in love with the guy and I think he'll be here for a while. He has done wonders with the program, but he also did wonders at Iowa for a couple years before things headed South. We'll see. My earlier post was a joke, hence the smiley face. I was also just playing devil's advocate aby cth95 - Other Sports
Re: Dream-Crushing, Soul-Devouring Juggernaut Shirts - 14 years ago
ben03 possibly something like the attached? That looks good. How about "Beware of" above the bear and then the quote below as you have itwithout the "Big Red" part? If we already have "Big Red Hockey" on the front, I think that would go better. "Beware of" "The soul devouring, dream crushing juggernaut" minus the "Big Red" partby cth95 - Hockey

YankeeLobo cth95 Jordan 04 YankeeLobo Jordan 04 So we can be reminded how badly the Lobos got routed? I already acknowledged that on another thread. Oh, so we shouldn't mention it incessantly for the next 2 months like a loss to Penn? Considering the Lobos' early flameout, maybe they should be looking for a new coach. Seeing that it would be a step backwards for him, I highly doubt Donaby cth95 - Other Sports
Re: Dream-Crushing, Soul-Devouring Juggernaut Shirts - 14 years ago
I really like the bear photograph. I would prefer to keep the red. There are more than enough gray and white T-shirts out there. If I am wearing Cornell gear, I want it to be red. Besides, it really stands out at a game when almost everyone is in red.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Dream-Crushing, Soul-Devouring Juggernaut Shirts - 14 years ago
munchkin cth95 I actually like having only the graphics on the back, but I would keep the original front. I was just experimenting. Although at some point, Hockeychick470 and I might decide on a final version and present to all of you as "The One". The one that's here uses the same front (although I changed the font to match the back font). Has the Hockey bear in a C, and usesby cth95 - Hockey

Re: Dream-Crushing, Soul-Devouring Juggernaut Shirts - 14 years ago
I still like the hockey bear. It looks meaner and less Japanese cartoonish to me. If we use a "C", I agree with flyers1037 that we should use a block "C".by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Greatest Cornell sports day ever? - 14 years ago
Willy '06 I think we have every right to be pissed off. Cornell is getting some serious national attention, and then Tiger Woods decides to do an interview and a healthcare bill gets passed. Goodbye front page. I know you are joking, but I actually did think it was a shame to open up espn.com and see Tiger Woods as the lead instead of a story from one of the great sports tournaments goinby cth95 - Other Sports
Re: Greatest Cornell sports day ever? - 14 years ago
I know, I shouldn't have gotten political. I meant this as a joke and wasn't expecting any responses. I had just read the news so it was right on my mind. I actually do think we need changes. The reason I am so frustrated is because they put in so many things that I don't think will help (along with completely unrelated matters like school loans) without doing a lot of things that I thinkby cth95 - Other Sports
Re: Dream-Crushing, Soul-Devouring Juggernaut Shirts - 14 years ago
The "C" makes the bear pretty small. If it isn't going to fit well, I guess I like the bear without the "C". If the "C" can be sized inbetween these last two examples, I think it frames the bear nicely.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Dream-Crushing, Soul-Devouring Juggernaut Shirts - 14 years ago
I think I agree with Rita, but I wasn't sure if we were talking about the same ones. If that is the case, then your answer would apply to me as well. Is there a similarly-sized "C" without the wavy font that would work? I do like the hockey bear much better.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Dream-Crushing, Soul-Devouring Juggernaut Shirts - 14 years ago
I would like to see the first bear with the hockey stick inside a "C" sized like that picture but with the font of other design. Regardless of which exact version you choose, I like the "C" with a bear inside.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Ashley Judd taunts - 14 years ago
This doesn't necessarily apply to us, but here is actress Samantha Ryan (apparently a Kansas alumnae and starring in a slightly different type of film than Ashley) giving 5 reasons why Kansas is better than Kentucky. The first 4 are pretty lame, but the last one is great. I heard this referenced on ESPN radio, just so you know.by cth95 - Other Sports
