Iggy scores first Cleveland goal w/ assist from Murray. Then got a goal and an assist in very next game. Let's go Pro Reds!!by cth95 - Hockey
Re: [OT] NHL Scoring Out of Control! - 18 years ago
I think the vertical game is definitely more interesting. The lack of the two-line rule is something I have been wanting for years. Right now there are way too many penalties, but I think when the players manage to get out of their old clutching-grabbing-hooking habits the scores will be more reasonable. As Will said earlier, there have been some pretty poor goaltending performances as well.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Leneveu starting tonight? - 18 years ago
It may have been temporary, but this certainly has a nice ring to it: "Phoenix G Curtis Joseph was the backup to LeNeveu..."by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Leneveu starting tonight? - 18 years ago
Too bad for the loss, but I didn't think it was his fault. Pretty cool that he is up there hanging with the big boys-- especially having to stand tall in a shoot-out.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Leneveu starting tonight? - 18 years ago
I guess if you are going to get beat, it is not too bad to say you got beat by Kariya. Damn, loss. It doesn't sound like it was Lenny's fault. Pretty cool that he is up there and doing it.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Leneveu starting tonight? - 18 years ago
Keep describing the shots. I only know if he saved them or not. Thanks.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Leneveu starting tonight? - 18 years ago
Over Time!!! Lenny just came up big against a short-handed odd-man rush. Shoot-out time. Go Lenny!!! I wish I could see. Maybe highlights on ESPN?by cth95 - Hockey

4-4 on the Phoenix power play. Will Lenny have to handle a shootout?by cth95 - Hockey

Re: Listen to Phoenix 10/13!! - 18 years ago
Nashville just tied it 1-1. Apparently essentially 5-on-3 because Phoenix player crashed into Nashville net and was stuck there as Nashville took it up on their power play.by cth95 - Hockey
Listen to Phoenix 10/13!! - 18 years ago
I put this again as a new topic so you see it easier. Phoenix just scored 1st power-play goal let in by Nashville this year. 1-0 Yotes. Go to 104.5 the zone from Nashville and click on Listen Live. It isn't supposed to work for games, but I am listening right now. Unfortunately, the Phoenix stations don't have live streams.by cth95 - Hockey

Re: Leneveu starting tonight? - 18 years ago
The notice is just in the typical news location. There are a few different items rotating through as headlines. I didn't realize that when I made my last post. With Passmore being reassigned and Lenny starting, I wonder who is playing backup. Could Lenny be moving his way up in the rotation? Did anyone notice they left an editing comment in the story? Re: Leneveu starting tonight? - 18 years ago
No mention of who is playing on their website. The Wednesday roundup on ESPN.com notes Passmore was assigned back to the AHL, so I am guessing that means Cujo is starting again.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Lenny on OLN tonight - 18 years ago
They must be getting serious about keeping Dave up for awhile. In the first game his helmet had "31" on the chin, but his jersey was "30". In this game, I noticed the helmet matched the jersey. Was he wearing "31" in the AHL? Cujo has that number for Phoenix.by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Lenny on OLN tonight - 18 years ago
That's why I was bummed. I wanted to watch Crosby AND Miller (and Mario). I watched the AHL All-Star skills competition on TV last winter, and Miller was pretty amazing. Considering he is just about the only one with an NCAA GAA better than Lenny or McKee (I think) he must be amazing. All this and I am a Bruins fan ever since the southward migration of the Whalers. (I know, that is a sad thinby cth95 - Hockey
Re: Lenny on OLN tonight - 18 years ago
Thanks. I was wondering why I would have been shut out from that one. Its not like OLN is the YES Network, with its efforts to be all-powerful and controlling. (Unfortunately for me, you can get NESN on this side of the lake with some of the sport packages, but the Red Sox games are blocked out thanks to the Evil Empire.)by cth95 - Hockey
Re: Lenny on OLN tonight - 18 years ago
Anyone know if last night's Pittsburgh-Buffalo game was blacked out on Time-Warner? The tv guide channel had the game showing, and there was a special about the NHL draft prior to game time, but then they just aired regular programming. I live on the border of Vermont 45 miles south of Montreal, so I wouldn't really consider myself remotely within the Buffalo ticket area. I really hope tonightby cth95 - Hockey

Re: Cornell Sun on hockey line fiasco - 18 years ago
My memory may be off a little, but because of the rare down-turn in the hockey team's success in the early '90s there was much less of a demand for tickets than there has been more recently. I don't remember ever having much trouble buying tickets for individual games. I even got tickets to the two home games against Colgate in the '96 playoffs (2 wins, 8-3 and 8-1) the year after I graduated wby cth95 - Hockey
Re: What I like about being a Big Red fan - 18 years ago
Every time I hear Gary Glitter I always think "Seive!!!!" and "We're gonna' beat the hell out of you...," even if it is just on the radio or at some other sporting event. Each year until about the middle of June I often just have the tune in my head. It gives me a little kick every time I think about it. I absolutely love how we fans continue the tune for a round or two whenby cth95 - Hockey

Re: Best place to wait? - 18 years ago
It's just on the other end of Alumni Fields from Bartels and Lynah. Willard Straight is just as far and everything is downhill from Riley-Robb. Of course this distance only makes sense if they give out numbers near one of the atheletic facilities and not further down the hill.by cth95 - Hockey

Re: Student Season Tickets? - 18 years ago
Good one. Other than being about the only one to get tickets, the winner could have their trip paid for by broadcasting it on Cornell All Access.by cth95 - Hockey
