Rule 6-30 in the NCAA Ice Hockey Rules and Regulations deals with "interference by spectators". Game officials used to be required to have a warning announced about delay-of-game calls, but that appears to be no longer the case: Interference by Spectators SECTION 30. a. Friday the 13th part XII - 20 years ago
Looking for anything to counteract this year's Lynah jinx (2-5-5 at home, yeek!), I offer Cornell's dominance in games played on Friday the 13th. Since the opening of Lynah Rink in 1957, the Big Red has posted a 10-1 record in games played on Friday the 13th: 3/13/70 6-5 vs Harvard, ECAC Semifinal (Boston) 3/13/81 4-3 vs Colgate, ECAC Semifinal (Boston) 1/13/84by Give My Regards - Hockey

I'll defer to Coach Schafer on whether Jan has the ability to play or not. The Sun article makes it pretty clear that he likes Jan, so it's not one of those situations where a guy is spending his whole career in the coach's doghouse. Again I can't cite any hard-and-fast rule, but the general practice seems to be to give the decision to whichever goalie was involved when his team got the win, loss, or tie. Hence, the W would go to whoever the goalie was when his team scored the GWG and the L would go to whoever gave up the GWG (or apparently in the case of an empty-net/extra-attacker goal, whoever the goalie in question was bby Give My Regards - Hockey

Glad I refreshed before posting. Yes, Marr was tagged with the loss (it was against Maine) even though the Cornell net was empty when what would prove to be the game-winning goal was scored. I can't quote any official rule, but I have seen situations in the past in which a game-tying goal was scored with the net empty and the "goalie of record" for that team picked up the tie. Larry, my language was somewhat stronger than yours, but essentially the same sentiment. Best of luck, Dave, and thanks again for two incredible seasons. Quite a shock if this is true. I would have thought the race was between Grillo and Bothwell, with maybe DiGiulian (the assistant) having an outside shot.
