Re: Cornell 3 Michigan 2 post game - 12 years ago
Willy '06 Anybody find a good writeup/preview on Ferris State? The UMich fan blog was kind enough to prepare one for us.by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: Other Regional Scores - 12 years ago
After being on their heels apparently for much of the third, Union gets a goal with under 2 minutes to play to make it 3-1 in their favor.by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: Other Regional Scores - 12 years ago
That's good if it means RPI stays put.by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: Cornell Wrestling at NCAA's - 12 years ago
A big thanks to folks on this thread, especially ugarte, for the informative posts throughout the season. I was never a wrestler or fan growing up, but a good friend of mine while at Cornell had been a highschool wrestler and I became a casual fan of the Cornell team by attending some duals with him. It's nice being able to follow the team by reading the updates/reports here.by JasonN95 - Other Sports
Re: Atlantic City Roll Call - 12 years ago
My wife (class of '96) and I will be there for Cornell's semi and whichever game they play Saturday, meeting one or two other alums. (And while I agree that moving the tournament to A.C. was a big mistake because of the travel consequences for the vast bulk of fans and would like to see it return to Albany, once there, I'd rather be in A.C. than in Albany on the weekend.)by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: America One worse than Red Cast - 12 years ago
Same thing happened to me. So didn't get to see winning goal.by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: America One worse than Red Cast - 12 years ago
Robb, thanks. I'm now connected, but picture is horrible unfortunately.by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: America One worse than Red Cast - 12 years ago
I can't connect to the game. Just have a spinning wheel where it says Infinite HD. Bah!by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: An eLynah Engagement - 12 years ago
Congratulations, Jeff. To add to the list of people who had Cornell Hockey play a part in their marriage. My wife (Class of '96) and I had as our first date dinner at Little Joe's and a Cornell hockey game.by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: SLU/Clarkson Roll Call - 12 years ago
Bringing the Mrs and our three kids up Clarkson for our first game of the season. (If anyone is looking for five tickets to SLU, check my post in the ticket exchange forum.)by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: Ivy League Lacrosse Tournament - 13 years ago
Al DeFlorio ugarte KenP So what was illegal about the Harvard player's stick? How did we know to ask? If it was a legal stick would we have been charged with a "delay of game" or similar penalty? What is usually illegal - or that the coach believes to be illegal - is the depth of the pocket.I think in this case something was pinched so that the ball wouldn't fall out when turned upsidby JasonN95 - Other Sports
Re: CU-SU Lacrosse Tonight - 13 years ago
If you go to Syracuse's athletics site and open All Access, both team's post-game press conferences are available for free. (Btw, Syracuse's All Access doesn't mess around; the same night the game was available in the archive along with a highlight package).by JasonN95 - Other Sports
Re: Lacrosse 2011 polls [3/21 #10] - 13 years ago
Al DeFlorio Quint continues to like Pannell: I think Shamel Bratton took himself out of the race today. Bratton was on the sideline for the UVA vs Maryland game for, according to the tv announcer, disciplinary reasons.by JasonN95 - Other Sports
Re: Announcing the College Hockey News iPhone App! - 13 years ago
CowbellGuy web-O-what? I expected more from an Apple (i.e., critically claimed, relatively small following) supporter. Betamax was also good, dammit!by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: Announcing the College Hockey News iPhone App! - 13 years ago
I'll assume you're not working on the Android version because you're busily putting the final touches on the webOS version. On behalf of those of us who've been won over by webOS's elegance, thank you.by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Yale Lacrosse - 13 years ago
Not worth its own thread, but right now the background image at www.laxpower.com is a nice image of Cornell attacking the Army goal. If you save the image, it could make a nice wallpaper image.by JasonN95 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell 3 Quinnipiac 2 (ECAC QF Game 3) - 13 years ago
It looks like the conference doesn't think much Colgate's chances; the ECAC Hockey website shows Yale playing in the finals:by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: Cornell 3 Quinnipiac 2 (ECAC QF Game 3) - 13 years ago
Agreed, a nice add'l salute to the Lynah Faithful for the last home game. Perhaps some technically savvy person who might have captured the feed last night could post that part to youtube (*hint/wishful thinking*).by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: ECAC_Semifinals and Finals_NOT ON the INTERNET - 13 years ago
I agree it sucks for those who don't get CBS College Sports, but I'd give the ECAC a pass on this. I think the league is fortunate to get both semis and the final onto the channel and if a condition is "no online video" that's a bullet you bite.by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: Brian Sullivan: Schafer Knows Treacherous Postseason - 13 years ago
The article also mentions the goalie rotation. I suspect that it'll continue however long the playoff run is, but do others (perhaps those who saw the last few games in person) think either goalie has risen a bit above the other to get tapped by Schafer for the playoffs?by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: Too many head and neck injuries in hockey - 13 years ago
Cactus12 Chara is generally not a dirty player, but he was riding Pacioretty into the boards after the puck was gone (interference), knew who it was (they had an "encounter" of sorts in an earlier game) and took it too far. Full Disclosure: I am a Bruins fan. That said, I think I'm being objective when I say that no fine/suspension for Chara was right. I don't think he took it too faby JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Rensselaer - 13 years ago
Ursusminor, thanks for the link. After reading it, I can't say that I'm that impressed with Mr. Klump, however. He's too personal in his opinion/attacks to win over my sympathy and seems to go out of his way to cast the Cornell program in a poor light in an article that isn't (ostensibly) about Cornell. For example: "So, on Saturday, Cornell started gooning it up right from the drop, routineby JasonN95 - Hockey
ECAC Hockey website - 13 years ago
If you don't, it's worth visiting www.ecachockey.com. They've done a nice job being a source of information and video highlights of late. As already posted in the St. L game thread, there are video highlights for both of this past weekend's games. And now there's a link to something called Big Red Faceoff, an ICTV production. Yes, it's clearly a student effort, but it's not bad and you get more eby JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: CU on TV - 13 years ago

Robb Jeff Hopkins '82 billhoward Is there a Cornell all-time all-name team on eLynah? If so, I nominate Brock Tredway, Lance Nethery, Sasha Pokulok, and Parris Duffus No Bâby? Death? Joe Dragon!by JasonN95 - Hockey

It doesn't say much about Ben's play, but does note that he faced 10 shots.by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: Pirri follows D' amigo - 13 years ago
Has TBRW final standings predictions come out yet and does the mysterious black box that produces those predictions have means for factoring in early departures (I assume it does as it must take into account graduating players)?by JasonN95 - Hockey
Re: CU's 2010-2011 Schedule - 13 years ago
Jim Hyla jkahn munchkin From the UAH Charger's Twitter Feed: Road Game against Cornell has been added Dec 3 & 4. I might have to come back to Ithaca for this. It's on their website now too. Sad schedule; two home games a month. If they're around next year, I hope we go down there. I followed the link and noticed in the sidebar that UAH is the host of the 2012 Men's Frozen Four.
