Re: Jersey Auction - 8 years ago
andyw2100 So I just noticed that the auction site lists Steve Inglehart as having worn number 23. Checking the Cornell page that lists players by number and TBRW, both show that as well, but I'm wondering if perhaps Greg just used the information compiled by Cornell, and if Cornell's information could possibly be wrong. Because I would have sworn Inglehart wore number 2. As I recall, Ingleharby ACM - Hockey

Re: Origin of "Red!" during national anthem? - 9 years ago
This history of the Clarkson pep band implies that Cornell fans were shouting "Red!" during the anthem at least as far back as the 1991-92 season. (Look for the "Final Four at Lake State ('91-'92)" link.)by ACM - Hockey

Re: Frozen Four - 9 years ago
For me, the hierarchy is pretty clear: BU - Brian Kelley, BU's AAD for Communications, is an IC grad, and a former assistant director of athletic communications at Cornell, and an all-around good guy who I'd be happy to have associated with a national championship. And it's the only chance we'll have next year to knock off the defending national champions, when we play BU at the Garden. Proby ACM - Hockey

" Due to an ominous forecast with a possible blizzard in store for the metro Boston area from mid-afternoon Saturday through Sunday, the game time for the Cornell at Harvard men's hockey game on Saturday has been moved up to 4 p.m. The game will still be broadcast on the Ivy League Digital Netowrk and ESPN3, and Jason Weinstein's play-by-play can still be heard in the Ithaca area on WHCU-AMby ACM - Hockey

Pete passed away from complications from an upper respiratory infection. Pete was 58 and is survived by a brother and fellow Cornellian, Greg, a niece Megan and a nephew, Ryan." dwakelin Some things never change. Leading by 17 point with seconds left on the clock, rather than take a knee to end the game, Harvard goes for the touchdown. Even the announcers on Fox College Sports remarked that it was bush. Stay classy Harvard. With the score Harvard 17-Cornell 7, Cornell called a timeout with 1:09 left, with Harvard facing a third-and-6 from the Cornell 17. The thinkiby ACM - Other Sports

I have never heard about the "disputedness" of the Stanowski goal (or for that matter even the story of the goal). I'd appreciate it if you could elaborate. All's I know is this. mha There's quite a lineup of Cornell hockey alums, current players, coaches, and community members playing this Saturday night at Lynah to raise money for the Franziska Racker Centers! Topher and Emma Scott really seem to be the big organizers behind the event, but they've put together a heck of a game. Re: 2013-14 Women's Ice Hockey in NC$$ tourney - 10 years ago
Funny, there were three defense pairings listed on Cornell's line chart for the Mercyhurst game: Richardson-Gagliardi, Smith-Cudmore, and Murray-Poudrier. And I saw all six of them in the game at one time or another. Admittedly, Gagliardi, Cudmore and Poudrier played a lot more than the other three, but we still had six defense dressed and playing in the game.by ACM - Hockey

Re: Russian Red Stars - 10 years ago
Bahnstorm I would like to see a rematch when the Red Stars are fresh. It was a fun game and they showed talent in spurts, but there was a major case of bus legs and general road weariness out there. Let's not also forget that we sat our #1 goalie (Iles), half our defense (Ryan, Willcox, Lewis), our captain (JMcCarron), and another regular forward (Knisley). You should be pleased to know that we are considered to be one of "the strongest NCAA hockey clubs operating in New England’s counties." Here is their preview of their game against Yale on 12/27.
